Libertarian? Hell no I only think about what's good for the coin. I mean if you're into something it doesn't mean people aware of it. Clones help to spread news about original coin. In some way. I might be wrong, so I'm not insisting. Anyhow I see no reason to release the source within at least 6 months.

Just you, I suppose.   I'm sorry, dzarmush. While I respect your skills and your contributions to the community, I'm afraid we don't see eye to eye on most of the issues.  

I see there are currently two camps.  I think nextgencoin and I belong to the same camp. and You're more like the libertarian kind of guy.  

EDIT: Oh wait! I forgot to add - I agree that we should not sell QORA for under 100 satoshi.. Well done for suggesting this. Good job

As for clones. Nas is a clone. Nxtl is not. Anyway both of them have nothing to do with Nxt falling dawn since January.


I haven't seen anybody asking for releasing the source early. Have you?

I really like CoinNext.com.  They've got real people running the site. Has anyone tried to contact them yet?

Case in point - NXTL and NAS are both NXT clones!

Answer me this - Do they add to NXT's value or simply take away NXT's market share???

I believe the later is the truth (Just take a look at coinmarketcap and see how NXT is performing lately)

So I'm curious how anyone in his or her right mind would advocate releasing the source early (if at all)??

To nextgencoin,

There is an advantage in hiring or paying for people who are not anonymous!

We will gain credibility and get good publicity instantly!

Of course we can find good devs here on Bitcointalk.. but the problem is that most of them would choose to remain anonymous and not publish their real names...

With real people, we will gain mainstream recognition. And that is a BIG plus in my opinion.  

I'd like to elaborate further --

The purpose of a Qora Code Review is 3-fold:

1. Gain mainstream recognition and obtain great publicity (it'll be great if we can get someone with media connection).  That's why I'm against having anonymous devs reviewing the code.

2. Recruiting potential candidates to join Qora dev team. Please remember that we need to expand the dev team eventually (to work on mobile app and a new GUI.. so forth). By showing the QORA code to them, we will be able to gain their support, and screen potential candidate (they will provide a critique of existing code and tell us how they will contribute).

3. Earn Investor's Trust & Confidence -- Price will SHOOT up if we can find devs with recognizable names to review the code.

Wallet function seems relatively simple, expect more innovation.

They'll not add Qora just because a couple of guys asked for that. We'll just have their attention and by the time they're ready we already have a stable client and network.

We should not list on the exchange until the wallet is stable, now ,the whole qore net will be attack easly.

I have an idea about how to publish source code and secure investors.
Just do it with lateness of 6 month snapshots.

So after 6 month we will publish only Qora v1. And by this time we probably would use Qora v16. After 12 mounth we publish next source code snapshot - Qora v16, and by this time we would on Qora v33.

That means that the newest features and bug fixes are always in Qora first  .

Good you agree. But I think you idea is a little bit grand. There are plenty of trusted talented coders here on this forum. Some involved with NXT development would be good.

How could I tell it is expired?

Can you try to restart your bitcoin core client? This may clear the transaction from bitcoin core memory. Don't resend it until it's expired, or it may still go through twice.
