Its normal. Price can't raise all the time. And exchange is matter of the time.

it does not seem to work. hashes never change from 0

This seems to be odd. Why should you need access to your private key pool when you mine this?
Encrypted a few other coin wallets and they seem to behave the same way.
They needed a key to mine right out of the client.
Yes, i think you have to have unlocked wallet to solo mine for sure.
