So is it the right time to invest in quark?I'm considering buying some.

The future appears bright to me. Like Bitcoins -- the earlier you buy, the better.

Well off to bed I go. Hopefully the little Quark I could afford to buy when it was less than a cent each and the little bit I could mine will be worth even more when I get up in the morning.

so is QRK a direct competitor to the securecoin, released Aug?  They advertise some 6 hashing dealio like quark does.  I dont see them listed on coinmarketcap though.  Their price on cryptsy seems to be orders of magnitude greater though

ETA:  seems to be from the creator of digitalcoin, released in May, nowhere near market cap of quark

Securecoin has deflation model, it has limited coins, so it's susceptible to 51% attacks like Bitcoin.

Apart from this, wallets get lost; people loose coins. Quarks make 1,000,000 coins a year which protects against 51% attacks & replenish lost coins.

So if someone loses a wallet, and then 10 years later remembers their password, will all their coins be gone because they've been replenished?

As you know, of course not. But in these 10 years the (suppose) 10 million coins will be out of circulation, this's effectively like destroying the currency for 10 years. Bad for the economy. The lost coins will increase the prices up (instability in prices -- not desired; this'll happen cause quarks are more rare), but 1 million per year will compensate and keep the prices in control (sort of). But if you find it back after 10 years and decide to sell it for $$$ then bad for quark -- prices will go down.

So by lost I mean permanently lost.

Yes, please explain!

If you remember your password 10 years later you will still have your coins.

What he means is that people lose their wallets through whatever accident, and those coins are "lost" forever. The small amount of new coins minted every year (< 0.5%) replenishes the coin supply so that the number of usable coins in circulation should stay about the same.

QRK looks like its getting manipulated on Cryptsy a little bit. Is it possible that a slew of Trade bots are manipulating the market? On Coinmarketcap its at .058ish and on Cryptsy its .088

Bter had a high price for qrk as well. Coinmarketcap hasn't updated their price on qrk lately.

would this scare them - the most of the people that own Quark do not own ANY Bitcoin -

- Checkpints Max !!!

I love how they are all saying how disappointed that they are in Keiser for seeing promise in another cryptocurrency but loved him when he talked about Bitcoins.

They're just butthurt that they didn't get in on quark.
