DigitalCoin is another generic altcoin which's just a clone like 100 others.

so is QRK a direct competitor to the securecoin, released Aug?  They advertise some 6 hashing dealio like quark does.  I dont see them listed on coinmarketcap though.  Their price on cryptsy seems to be orders of magnitude greater though

ETA:  seems to be from the creator of digitalcoin, released in May, nowhere near market cap of quark

Securecoin has deflation model, it has limited coins, so it's susceptible to 51% attacks like Bitcoin.

Apart from this, wallets get lost; people loose coins. Quarks make 1,000,000 coins a year which protects against 51% attacks & replenish lost coins.

Securecoin is a fork of Quark. A coin distribution model similar to Bitcoin is used.

All I hear about quark is price pumping.  The developers seem completely absent.  What are the developers working on?

The technical discussion section over on the quark forum is nearly empty http://quark.freeforums.net/

The admin over there only has 4 posts.

The person who started this thread has only posted 33 times and does not give any indication that quark is advancing beyond a pump-and-dump coin.

Hi there

For the people new to Quark, I am the developer.

As you can see I'm active in this forum and on others. At the moment I'm involved in keeping the coin and the network healthy by releasing regular checkpoints, maintaining nodes, forums, etc.

In the mid-term we hope to incorporate several enhancements to make Quark even more secure.

Regards
Max

1    the quark forum is a brand new one  resetup yesterday,
2    They are so many threads about Quark going back over 5 months you could just read those.
3     most Software developers are not at the beck and call of everyone.

Devs, we need a lightweight wallet + encrypted connection support. With encryption support, prices will SURGE.

Today I remembered that I sent a small amount of QRK in september to the crypsty exchange and that the transaction never went through. Due to the small value of QRK then, i did not really pay attention. I checked my wallet and everything is ok a. Today I opened my wallet and see that 48640 qrk has a value of almost 2btc. Here is the proof from the transaction that it never came to my account on my crypsty adress. Do you know who I can ask or who can help me out in regards to this?

problem solved. QRK sold out on crypsty Smiley
