here guys:

Code:
apt-get install unzip -y
cd
wget http://stonefoz.myfastmail.com/cpuminer-quark2.zip
unzip cpuminer-quark2.zip
cd cpuminer-quark2
CFLAGS="-O3 -msse2" ./configure
make

thanks that worked perfectly Smiley

I have only orphans on Ubuntu 64bit with this configure ?!? someone else?

I have gotten 10 blocks in about 8 hours. Works fine for me.

Is it possible to solo mining with this miner?

Someone is hashing at around 130kHash at my pool with username 'user'.

This don't work!!

You need to set as username your Quarkcoin address where the payment should go

I'm quite sure i set the correct address of my local wallet but i dont get the payout altough the miner works well.

There must be a problem with the payouts from pool.

Code:
./minerd -a quark -o http://176.221.46.81:8372 -u

I'm sure it's the correct address as i get it from the command:

Code:
quarkcoind getaccountaddress

Amd optimized cpuminer. probably works on Intel? but code had been targeted for amd with caches at least as bit as the old Opterons.

Must be built with CFLAGS="-msse2", tested on 64bit linux. "jh_sse2_opt32.h" has not been edited for 32bit builds and is currently broken.

4Ghz bulldozer is running 107/Khs per core. Total 428/Khs
2.4Ghz Opteron is running 78/Khs per core. Total 312/Khs.
2.8Ghz Semepron 145 is running 112/Khz per core.

Will be working on replacing sse2 with newer avx, should greatly improve the "JH" has sections along with "Groestl". Those two lost the SHA3 partially  based on speed. Skien, BMW, and Blake already run screeming fast.

Bulldozer optimized client based of v2 code was getting a bit high reject rate. reverted to V1 and getting stable:

8150: 800 khash stock and up to 1100 khash with OC.. so .8~1.1mhash depending on your oc

I think what we need most now is NOT a miner with <10% improvement, but rather some websites that accept Quark as a currency. It would be better if a bounty were set up to encourage game/website developers... Cool

and for fucks sakes start making dedicated threads for all these damn miners.

Thanks for all of the tips from you guys, they are most helpful. Learning linux is kind of weird and much harder after windows but it does things quite fast once you get used to it Smiley

You can also put a "&" to the end of your command line (like : " ./minerd &" )
Or use "nohup" (it's a kind of "screen" like, but it's very useful for server for exemple)

Is there a page somewhere with instructions for this miner?

For instance i see all the hash speeds in the linux window, but to get out of that i have to do control c, and that seems to stop the mining process. How do you get out of that window of the hash speeds and leave it mining?
I use screen.

Code:
apt-get install screen
screen
(press enter once to skip description)
./minerd -a quark -t 3 -o http://176.221.46.81:8372 -u

To detach from the window hold Ctrl then press A once and then press D once. To reattach to view it run: screen -list to get the ID of the window, then screen -r [yourscreenid] to reattach.

You can detach and then close the window and it'll continue to run.

Actually it doesn't appear to work correctly. Says it's working but p2pool payments stopped shortly after.

Back to the old cpu miner.

from what i can see, cpu miner takes dual quad xeon l5420 from 290000 to 320000  so a reasonable improvement over the wallet but not a massive amount on ubuntu 64tbit

And the improved version posted a page or two ago takes it to 600 kH/s. I can vouch for that figure personally, being the proud owner of one of those machines.

Hi,

Do you mean this one

https://github.com/Neisklar/quarkcoin-cpuminer

built with this
CFLAGS="-O3 -Wall -msse2" ./configure ?

i'm seeing 41000 per core? so x 8 about 320 000kh?

Dual quad l5420 ?  are you sure you are getting 600 000?

that's the one i am using?
also is your machine windows 64 bit or ubuntu?

I have made you a build of the CPUMiner source that does 600 kH/s on 64bit Ubuntu on a dual L5420 system.

http://thelumpit.net/cpuminer.tar.xz

I haven't tried V2 yet, but I will do. V2 offers a very small improvement to each thread, but considering there are 8 threads, it isn't too bad (600 kH/s to 625 kH/s). New build here.
