What makes this cpu only that is not true of any other coin. Surely its just a matter of time
Even with all the addnodes, I can't connect to download the block chain

Put these lines in your quarkcoin.conf file.

Is anyone still getting blocks on lower end cpus?

I'm getting fery few blocks on Xeon's with 8-24 cores (I have several machines for free use, not "botnet", only 6 servers
)And price is so low - it is not clever to sell QRK now for it. During first days (while getting a lot of blocks) it was near fair price, but now...
Now given the high difficulty (250+), I can only find 2-3 blocks per day using a quad-core i7. It is not wise to mine. Actually I think it is a good time to buy QRK now... QRK is so underpriced currently, and the price is expected to go up after a few days when the reward is halved.
set qrk up on a digitalocean vps (the 5$ one), hit 2 blocks in less than 24 hours, it's all about luck

It seems looks like mining with minerd also not working ....
This coin abolute not worth mining for since the cost is huge to mine any block at all, unless you have servers to use from your boss stay away a long distance from this

I guess your just unlucky then, my core2quad q6600 still gets blocks every now and then (one or two a day)

As it is only works with CPU, how much it takes to find a block these days?
Depends on the difficulty and your luck. On my quad-core i7 laptop, sometimes I could find two blocks in a row within one hour, but sometimes no blocks were found during the whole night... But on average I can find ~5 blocks per day
