Anyway of checking progress on mining? not really solo mined before.
Got a few blocks over the day however some take a few hours some take 12 hours.

Open the wallet then select the Help, then the Debug window, then select the Console and type Help then enter. I will list the commands you can use to get information. ie. getmininginfo etc....
I know how to do that and that I am mining.

I can upload a compiled version of quarkcoind for those interested. Just add it to /usr/local/bin and do quarkcoind --daemon

a) Nice clean logo
b) Domain and professional looking website
c) Pre-built Windows, OSX and Linux clients (all must have GUIs)

Don't sell too low! It is very hard to mine them now, only few blocks a day even on big clusters!

That is odd? My water cooled 3930k @ 4.6GHz finds several blocks a day still.
This coin is really innovative. I can see this on's price stabilising at or above 0.0006 on Cryptsy. Then there will be a run up to 0.01 as it starts to compete with primecoin.
It is near 0.000004 now on coins-e, and it is really very low price. 0.01 - I doubt that it is possible in short time, but i.e. 0.00003 is possible (1 LTC for 1K QRK). But if difficulty will grow up such quick (120->260 in 30h), we can see bigger increase.

So I have my wallet open and I am not mining at all, yet I found 2 blocks.

If you have "gen=1" in your .conf file it will start mining when you open your wallet.
Check your cpu usage
lol yup, explains the slight lag. I was GPU mining, CPU mining and using the computer. Didn't get the gen 1 on the conf.
