QRL tech seems to be future proof. Bought some coins. Hope price will rise after announcements next month.

Watch out for scam mails from QRL slack, just got one asking me to login on a fake myetherwallet site!

Yep everyone should be careful, these scammers already invade most slack channel with bigger community like Stratis, IOTA, Decred and a lot more.

It's becoming quite common, best just to avoid links on slack, telegram, discord, etc unless they are provided by the dev team or authorized admins. Always check with the dev team before proceeding.

Morty -"Oh boy, Whats wrong Rick? Is it a Quantum Carburetor or something?"
Rick - "Jesus, Morty. You can't just add a Sci-Fi word to a car word and hope it means something."

So let me get this straight, the core idea of this coin is to defend itself from something that doesn't exist?

+ the many privately developed we don't even know about.

Id be mainly concerned about those.

Is the main net launch still scheduled for this month? Sorry if it is mentioned a few pages back but I decided to be lazy. By the way great interview with Crypto Rand.

Hey mate, this just in from a fresh interview (link below from medium): "Currently we are hoping to launch our mainnet in the next two months"

OT: I think QRL might use MetaCert for the Slack channel to eliminate phishing

1. It wound't exactly be decentralized if only those few who have access to Quantum Computers run the network.
2. From what I have heard traditional mining will not be compromised for awhile.
3. Quantum Computer mining sure sounds interesting as I am a miner, but I am afraid the consumer market will be restricted from owning high end quantum computers.

All three of these comments are interrelated.

3. I'm certain many many many people said exactly the same thing about personal computers, in fact, they did, now we carry computers 1000x as powerful in our pockets.
2. Once 3 happens, 2 happens.
1. Once 3 happens, 1 happens.

You're basically making a single point, that you think quantum computers won't be affordable.

No I am saying consumer market will likely be restricted from owning quantum computers for awhile it will probably require some kind of license to own one. I am just speculating, but would not be surpriced if that happens at least here in the EU. Later on consumer market will probably have access to quantum computing, but it wont happen until all encryption is made QC secure. Thats why there is a program funded by the European Commission to make encryption quantum secure as I have mentioned in this thread earlier.

Rick - "Jesus, Morty. You can't just add a Sci-Fi word to a car word and hope it means something."

Quantum Computing exists. Please do your own research for companies developing them. IBM, Google, Microsoft etc. + the many privately developed we don't even know about.

Quantum Computing is currently only limited by the number of Qubits and publicly they are on 49-51 qubit level.

Breakthroughs are happening to reach much higher Qubit levels and fast https://futurism.com/an-entirely-new-type-of-quantum-computing-has-just-been-invented/
Like you said - its under development, it doesn't exist on the market. Which means, you have no way of testing coins resistance.

LOL Yes let's wait until you can buy a Quantum Computer from Walmart.

One can make a step forward and develop the QR ledger running entirely  on the network of Quantum Computers. BTW,  China is not far from this.

Google has said that we will see quantum computers on the main stream market in 3-5 years, however at a starting price of around 3000$ US (the cost of a high end gaming computer) these won't exactly be mainstream...yet. However, if you look at the mining community, a lot of these people own high end gaming computers or related products, so I'm sure quantum mining will have a reasonable following early on. 2nd, Douglass is working on a decentralized laptop and operating system.

How can i transfer some test tokens from bittrex wallet to my local wallet with node? Trex wallet starts with 0xa0a537a983.. and local with Q6fc5262225... So the syntax differents. I have to generate new address?

I actually wouldn't be surpriced if Goverments will ban Quantum Computers from the public and will require a lisence for any organization to own one.

It's too powerful equipment for consumers to own they will say.

How do you view this token?  It seems to have disappeared from my address.

What wallet are you using? MEW?  -> https://www.myetherwallet.com
