wooo saaaaa!  let's all let just try to be positive about this coin.  From where I stand, it looks like sidhujag is now a supporter... I think.

Let's just all see what we can do about progresssing the coin.  We all have been screwed by coins before with shit coding, and Yes I do believe that the code should be released for review...

BUT

I also don't want someone to steal this code if it does turn out to be real custom.  There are a lot of turds out there that would steal this code in a heartbeat and turn it into a scamcoin launch before the orginal coin get's it's funding.

Upon completion of a successful CFC, the code will be reviewed by Bittrex before any funds (R3D or BTC) are released to anyone. So we definitely need to have a working source for anything to happen here.

And you are correct about releasing the source prior to completion of the CFC. We risk someone running off with all of the hard work put into the code work if source is publicly available right now.

Bittrex has proven itself to be a honest ICO / CFC provider, so I'm sure everyone can understand that there is no risk of vaporware here. Thats the whole point of the Bittrex CFC hosting this.

im guessing the r3d team will at least do a better job cleaning up their code.... how long has syscoin had 'public source code'?

syscoin/src$ grep -r LITECOIN *
qt/locale/bitcoin_en.ts:        Warning: If you encrypt your wallet and lose your passphrase, you will <b>LOSE ALL OF YOUR LITECOINS</b>!
qt/locale/bitcoin_en.ts:        Warning: If you encrypt your wallet and lose your passphrase, you will <b>LOSE ALL OF YOUR LITECOINS</b>!
qt/locale/bitcoin_pt_PT.ts:        Warning: If you encrypt your wallet and lose your passphrase, you will <b>LOSE ALL OF YOUR LITECOINS</b>!
I can't have a response without looking at source code, that is where the facts lie. BTW what have you personally done to advance crypto-currency?

Ahh so the truth comes out, you are jumping to conclusions.. figures.
BTW what you are now trying to do is avoid my questions and what we in the biz call 'deflect'
we both know why that is.

Oh but we are onto newer and better things soon to replace coloured coin mess to a real flexible architecture Smiley
We will set the trend again for new clones.

is this seriously your response to my reply or did you missquote?

there is a saying about glass houses that applies really well to this.
there is also a saying about assumptions.

you familiar with either of those?

Where is the source code? Your doing an ICO without code?

Good morning.  The source will be on github post-CFC (IF successful) of course.  Sorry I had to edit, I neglected to clarify.

I think they are waiting a bit to release the code as they have invested a ton of time in it right now for it to get ripped off before they can even get some traction going.

Yeah, the demos prove how unique the system is. I don't think the coins / tokens that will be used are near as impotent as the "from scratch" platform itself. Any idea when Sytaks will have another presentation ready?

I think we've strayed a bit too far off topic here guys. They point was that we were questioned if this was just another sys fork, and the answer was that there are many elements from several altcoins brought together to make r3d, sys being one of them, but the majority of syntaks work being completely custom code. It'll all be much more clear as we release more demos and when you guys see the r3d source.

Namecoin, DGC, Florin and syscoin were what we used to model our approach.  As I've explained to sigwo - when the code is public, he'll be relieved to find out we didn't just fork sys (as he's been under the impression) and change function names.

     Best regards,

syntaks

Anyways, We trust you know whats best since you reviewed lots of possible candidates. I myself can't wait to see the public code so I can see how to contribute, Keep up the great work syntaks.

Can you not do what this coin is doing on something like Ethereum within one script?

The entire system itself is more than just a script but there's also the economics of it involved,  as well as the fact it's not attached to or dependent on any project such as Ethereum.

     Best regards,

syntaks
You will have a support nightmare doing the coloured coin implementation.. Hence my original question.. Anything you are doing is possible with AT or ethereum smart contracts unless you prove otherwise (hence my question)

Coloured coin implementation?  Would you care to elaborate a bit?  I think perhaps some wires are crossed and you're under the impression we're trying to do what Ethereum is doing or several other projects but that's not the case.

     Best regards,

syntaks

Which coin did you fork from.. Syscoin? You know what coloured coins are? Anyways anytime you are decorating transactions to create services you are colouring your coins.. Long term it's not a good approach.. I would know more ir you posted your source code but I assume you would be doing it like I said otherwise it would be something like AT or ethereum.. I'm not sure you understand what I'm saying though.

I've never heard of anyone referring to colouring coins or coloured coins in that manner before now and several others hadn't either.  No worries though.  As I explained in the interview with lootz and I thought I had stated it publicly that we started off with various bases to determine which would provide the best methods for what we were trying to accomplish and the end result is a combined effort with several thousand lines of custom code (written from scratch) and growing.  Namecoin, DGC, Florin and syscoin were what we used to model our approach.  As I've explained to sigwo - when the code is public, he'll be relieved to find out we didn't just fork sys (as he's been under the impression) and change function names.  Sys is a great project, one that I had even bought into the ICO for at the time.  However, for our needs it's not really that simple to just fork it and call it something new.
