For the weekly mining contests "Lucky Blocks" you can now check in our Discord which address is winner of a lucky block by doing "rtm.mineraddress .

Also added a little script for checking if you are the owner of a winning address here: https://github.com/Raptor3um/lucky_block_verify

Over a 100 nodes hit on testnet, really great to see. The more people that test the stronger the project is, not to mention the weekly mining contests that allow testers to fill some bags of real RTM!

Post published on Virtopia about why you might want to mine with us on testnet: https://virtopia.ca/why-you-should-be-mining-raptoreums-testnet/

You will soon also be able to win real RTM by actively and consistently mining on testnet, stay tuned!

Good to see the testnet growing steadily. Close to hitting 500h/s at the moment on the explorer  Grin

Now to iron out some of the other details  Roll Eyes

We have made some changes to DGW to make it behave better at lower diff and hashrate. To be on the correct change a wallet update is needed, also port was changed to 9878.

If anybody would like to compare their CPUs on this new and beautiful amalgamation, we are running a stats channel on discord where you can show of the performance of your beastie CPUs. GPU miner should be coming later, we're still very early in the testnet stages.

GhostRider is now live on Testnet phase 2! Currently only Linux binaries are available but we are working on MAC, Windows, and ARM builds. Download at https://github.com/Raptor3um/Raptoreum/releases

Note: Port has changed to 9868, RPC port has not changed.

To start mining open the wallet help > debug window > console and type "setgenerate true 2" the number is number of cores you want it to use. The main explorer will not be working correctly once it is updated as we need to make some fixes for GhostRider. Use http://exp.raptoreum.com/ for now instead.

Also as part of this update our custom emission and reward system has been added, you can read about it here: https://medium.com/@kawwwoin/raptoreum-rewards-and-emissions-e9ab989b4dc8. Big thank you to @Duck Avenger  this was his brainchild and he has done excellent work on it!

The GhostRider whitepaper is also now available! You can see it here: https://raptoreum.com/files/GhostRider_Whitepaper.pdf Thanks @tri  !

The Raptoreum project is very pleased to announce the upcoming release of our own modernised version of the venerable weusecoins platform.

Looks to me like we are well underway. Yes, there has been a slight delay on GR but that has come at the gain of additional developer power a bit further down the line so mainnet is still on track.

Mainnet is not until August. But stage 2 and 3 of testnet there will be opportunities for active testers to earn / win RTM that is paid out after mainnet is live.

We frequently have IOU giveaways that people can cash in for mainnet RTM when the time comes. There is one running as I speak in our Discord.

Fine. I will come to you in the discord. And I want to participate in testnet. Can you run a bounty program?

There are already active bounties yes, check the #bounties channel. There will be a few more added with testnet stage 2 and 3, such as for finding bugs, flaws, etc.

So, if no ICO how were the coins distributed? I feel it a bit cloudy regarding it's essential details, I admit I didn't read the litepaper yet.

The coins are distributed manually after mainnet. The IOU token simply shows that you had won or earned X amount and can claim them when the time comes.

Can this coin be mine now? The project looks interesting. I would like to have some coins in my wallet.

There are bounties active, best place to see them would be Discord, I will add them to the ANN soon as well. To win RaptoreumIOU there are giveaways frequently on Discord in the #giveaways channel.

Looking better and better by the day  Grin

this suggests, that the team is trying to develop its idea as best as possible without looking at the various obstacles.

Mainnet isn't planned till August but things are happening at a reasonable pace so I would say yes  Grin

I am expecting a lot of delays down the road. If they now say August it could also be the end of the year. Hardly any project is meeting the schedule.

The big hurdle is GR which should roll in roughly 2 weeks on testnet 2. Once that is done, it should be pretty smooth sailing till August. Contract layer isn't planned till 8-12 months further down the line. So far things are looking pretty interesting,

Yes, the team is smallish atm but it's a lot more experienced than most of what is out there. And we're actively looking for more talent if you're interested in contributing.

Ok, it is just so standard these days that there is delay after delay. I know it is normal in software, but it's also making people tired.
