Withdrawals on mintpal still doesn't work.

That's correct. Please take note of the fact that when an exchange needs to roll out a new wallet, there is some work involved on their end. It's absolutely critical for any exchange that they rule out accepting transactions from a bad chain (fork), as this could result in them accepting deposits (and sending out withdrawals) from a bad chain. As such, during this process, they temporarily suspend deposits and withdrawals, which allows them to rule out problems. This doesn't affect your coins in any way, other than a delay. So just to be clear: this is not related to SAT, this is simply a maintenance procedure at the exchanges (which applies to every coin on every exchange).

With that said: it would perhaps be a good idea if exchanges would me more verbose in terms of indicating their wallet status in their interface, since most exchanges do not seem to provide a clear indication of their wallet statuses. We'll suggest this as a feature request to our exchanges. If you think this is a good idea, it would probably be helpful to contact your favorite exchanges with the same feature request (since the more people request something, the more likely it'll get attention/priority).

I really start to loose faith in this coin, I bought at 2 SATs and was very happy with the coin reduction and all those new stuff like POS transition, SAT multipool...

Anyway, I know DEVs are working hard and I hope we will soon start to see some nice changes.

You will most certainly see some nice changes. The most beautiful parts of our plans have not been revealed yet. In light of the hints I was giving in my previous post (about upcoming news): let's just say that what you've seen happening recently may just not have been as chaotic as what it looked like Wink More to come soon!

Update

We have released a wallet update, which is now available in source, Windows QT and Mac QT:

Source
Windows wallet
Mac OS X wallet

It is recommended to update your wallet as soon as possible. All wallets have been tested thoroughly in the past hours and have been confirmed to be working properly.

We have confirmed with miners and pools that the mining reward is now working as it should, which can also be seen in the block explorer: http://213.179.192.62/chain/Saturncoin

Suchpool (http://saturn.suchpool.pw) has confirmed they are using the latest wallet - if you are looking to mine on a pool we recommend to use them. Dedicatedpool has not confirmed yet. As soon as Dedicatedpool has also confirmed that they are running on the latest wallet, we recommend balancing out your hashes between the pools.

Cryptsy has also confirmed they have updated. Mintpal will be rolling out the update shortly.

This should be the final update before we switch to the new PoS blockchain. Our developers are very busy making all the preparations and we will be able to share some updates about this soon.

Additionally, on top of the plan of action that was previously announced, we have some very exciting news coming up. We can't share this just yet, but I can tell you that everyone who has invested in Saturncoin will benefit from this. Before we can share this news, we are first actively monitoring to blockchain and communicating with all involved parties to ensure smooth operations. If all goes well, we should be able to share this news by tomorrow Cool

https://github.com/chrisfranko/Saturncoin/commit/8f1987c60b0f878166700a4e7ea1e47813d10b2e

fixed, any linux miners and pools just recompile from my source, ill make a pull request. Nothing really lost but 10k blocks to gain. GOGOGO

Anything >85000 will be orphaned.

I'm ready to compile from source if you confirm the fix. What's the deal???

The fix has been merged at https://github.com/satdev/Saturncoin

You can go ahead and recompile from source now. We will provide updated QT wallets later today.

Oops I fucked up with the update, working on tons of things at once made a simple honest mistake

https://github.com/chrisfranko/Saturncoin/blob/master/src/main.cpp#L900

is supposed to be if not an else if. So we can do a couple things here, we can either gloat in our misery or change it to an if , orphan a couple blocks and move on. What does everyone want to do?

Are you sure, what exchangers updated to latest version?

I found, what coin was updated just now, and it was pure luck. Why you not delete old GitHub sourse?
https://github.com/saturncoinnet/Saturncoin/
I monitor this source for changes (and I think many services do the same). And possible where is a reason, what my daemon can find only one updated node
213.179.192.62 suggested by dev, but before block 80 000  was connected about 6-7 old wallets.

i was looking at mining saturncoin.... just one question.... why such a low payout per block? i'm seeing hashrates of 1.2 mhs with a pay out of .007 satoshi.

Read up a couple of posts Smiley https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.6815829

The hashrate has never been 1.2MH by the way, you've probably missed 1 digit.

thank you for clearing that up.....

have you guys thought about merge mining? i know some others have been talking about it, but i guess at the moment there are a lot of rejects still

That would not really make sense in this case, since the PoW won't last that much longer, after which we'll be going PoS

By popular request, we now also have a QT wallet available for Mac OS X:

http://saturncoinfoundation.org/downloads/saturncoin-qt.dmg

Please note that this QT has only been tested on Mac OS X 10.9 (not on older versions). In case you are running an older version and experience any issues, please let us know.

So we are 1500 blocks from hitting 85,000... third time a charm Huh
