Hey guys, we are pleased to announce that SFRSend has been successfully tested for 2 cycles now. Sent some coins "anonymously" to Bittrex
. Bittrex is usually slow to accept transactions. Even normal deposits take some time to show up on Bittrex. But to other wallets, the transaction time is normal as designed.
1 anonymous bouncing cycle would take about 3-4 mins for your amount to reach your destination (On Bittrex, much longer. It took about 10-15mins).
We are keeping a max of 5 cycles. We suggest for best of speed+efficiency, use 3 cycles. Ofcourse this is for those that use SFRSend over SFRSend+.
With SFRSend+, you don't have to choose any cycles. It is a fixed amount that works well with an alias.
I do not know much about how other coins use anonymity except DRK but I feel our anonymity is unique. This is why -
Biggest uniqueness! Privacy matters! You do not want to give out your SFR address to anyone because you do not want them to look up your address on the blockchain and find out how much stack you have. So just give them an SFR alias which you choose by activating the Saffron Messaging Service (SFRMS)! Another good thing is that your sender does not need to have an SFRMS alias. You can just ask any person on the planet who has an SFR address to send you coins without disclosing your address!I know that few coins break down the amount you are sending into smaller pieces. But they don't break it down in random amounts and combine everything in the end. SFRSend/SFRSend+ breaks your amount into random smaller amounts and transmitted to the next bouncing cycle. So in case if someone knows your sending amount and really wants to spend time tracing your transaction, it would be very difficult. The amount will not remain the same and it is broken into random smaller amounts and distributed across various random addresses. In the end all the smaller amounts are combined into one and sent to your destination. Other coins that break down amounts, do not combine it in the end and send it to the destination in small amounts. This is not helpful if you wish to do anonymous payments. Because the payment gateway would not accept broken amounts and only the whole amount for the product/service you wish to buy. Finally, we are the only ones to provide multiple anon methods. You all know how community centric we are and we do not want to implement only 1 type of stuff because "one man's food is another man's poison". We showed this by keeping both the types of wallets - MultiTasking and the Classic Wallets. Also we are continuously receiving downloads for both the types of wallets. So it is best to let people decide what to use. The same reason why we wanted to use multiple algos for the coin because to target various people and let them choose what they want to mine! And now, we are giving an option for both kinds of anon and let our users choose which they like. But the basic anon - SFRSend may be stripped out after some time once SFRSend+ is more widely used only because SFRSend tends to bloat the blockchain a bit more and in no way is it better than SFRSend+.We are developing the SFRSend+ UI now and that is what is left to be tested. Will post a screenshot once we have that!
