to mine on windows:
in build-mediterranenancoin-win32-0.8.5.1.zip, there is a file "mcproxy.jar" with a lib sudirectory.
To run the the proxy, just cd in the directory where you unzipped it all and run the command "java -jar mcproxy".
You will need to have Sun Java 1.6 JRE installed.
After that, you can launch the modified cgminer (there is a tutorial on the website http://www.mediterraneancoin.org, it is for linux but several aspects are in common with windows). We will prepare a tutorial for windows too.

what flavor of linux are you using?
in case, try to install libudev-dev. On Debian/Ubuntu:
sudo aptitude install libudev-dev

when the currency will be ready for play ? not nodes , not working for now
there are too many people trying to bootstrap the blockchain at the same time, about 150-200 new clients. It will take 1-2 hours for everybody to complete the download of the blockchain (current height: 2755), after that the network should be ok.
