Our team obtained many of the cryptocurrencies that were frozen on Cryptsy's servers when the exchange collapsed. The MediterraneanCoin wallet.dat was among those recovered.

We are now in the process of giving these wallet files back to their respective communities. The wallet has not been inspected and it's unknown if it contains any coins. To work properly Electrum must download blockchain_headers or you will see unverified transactions
When start for first time Electrum start downloading blockchain_headers from servers in ./electrum-med (linux) app data/roaming/electrum (windows)
you must have file blockchain headers ~120Mb
You can speed up process by simply download "blockchain_headers.zip" file from link on top right corner on site explorer above and extract in your directory

If you are on Windows, the file is in your user's AppData folder, usually "C:\Users\<>\AppData\Roaming\mediterraneancoin"

You can open folder by using Windows start menu and typing %appdata% (including percent signs) which will open file explorer on default AppData folder, and then going into "mediterraneancoin" folder.

Config file name is "mediterraneancoin.conf". If file does not exist, create new text file, rename it (including extension, Windows will complain, say yes), and paste the "addnode" lines. Save config file and restart wallet. When it starts to sync, it may take quite a while to load two years of blockchain.

Sorry I don't know where the config file is on Linux, should be somewhere in your user's home folder too.

Where would that file be located? Im obviously not very tech savvy. I mined these a few years ago and just came across a backup of my old wallet and wanted to see how much I had so I just downloaded the qt wallet. I have never mined on this machine. Thanks.

Network is active, I have 20 connections right now (there are many duplicate IPs with different ports). Are you adding "addnode=" command to mediterraneancoin.conf config file?

Also I think port is redundant (and reported ports change, I guess due to NAT), so add just IP addresses.
