lmao dat epic price for a coin with 8 coins BlockReward
total fail
soil is one of the most unfair "coin" ever for mining

This is too drastic expression.
The big expectations sometimes lead to big disappointments. Personally I am very pleased with SOIL, I got 1+ BTC above the ETH mining for only  two days. But I sold 80% ot my easily mined coins because I don't like to become a millionaire at once! Smiley

one question, in looking at simple migration of parallel ETH-based technology, what is everyones experiences with AlethOne with regards to GPU mining? it would be nice to have a streamlined mining process, especially for the casual non-technical user, anyone who shrinks at the sight of the CLI. something similar-ish for SOIL would help clean up the package and mining. how does AlethOne (and Zero) handle the mining GPU-rigs? multiple rigs? ive been loking into that sort of platform for a few days, just wanted some opinions...
AlethZero is a no-no. There were some strange bugs with it. Ethminer is what everybody use, like a golden standard.

this was sitting on my to-do list, the public ledger for the community reserve, even though we've got low valuation right now, the basic premise of transparency remains especially important.

presently working on a roadmap for you all, where we're going, on the marketable side of things. im sure soil will present where the programmatic side of things is going as well. i just wanted to post the above to get that ledger adjustments done. as you can see, the development core hasnt dumped any SOIL on the markets, the price and volume is entirely in the hands of the community. we will continue working on this project, and updating when we have something to announce.

if someone of you has a server on hand with a changeless ip address, please contribute to SOIL
in setting up a permanent node.
Here you go:

Hope it helps Smiley
Also, one of my small rigs will be pointed to soil, just to keep it running.

And some advice: if you want something to grow from soil ( sounds good, eh? Smiley ), then "water" it: port some simple contracts from Ethereum, if you find any useful ones. Make Android wallet to simplify soil's use. Create roadmap for future development, let it be slow and long, but create it and post here in the OP. All that helps.

Hi community,

if someone of you has a server on hand with a changeless ip address, please contribute to SOIL
in setting up a permanent node.

Node setup for Ubuntu 14.04:
Code:
apt-get update
apt-get dist-upgrade
apt-get install git binutils bison gcc make libgmp3-dev build-essential
bash < <(curl -s -S -L https://raw.githubusercontent.com/moovweb/gvm/master/binscripts/gvm-installer)
echo "[[ -s \"$HOME/.gvm/scripts/gvm\" ]] && source \"$HOME/.gvm/scripts/gvm\"" >> ~/.bashrc
source ~/.bashrc
gvm install go1.4
gvm use go1.4 --default
git clone https://github.com/soilcurrency/go-ethereum.git
cd go-ethereum
make gsoil

./build/bin/gsoil account new
./build/bin/gsoil --maxpeers=100 console

--Alternative mod by altsheets (Thanks)--

I have done a bit of SOIL marketing in the group "AltcoinTrading" on StartPeeps.

StartPeeps is an innovative clone of that unspeakable blue site,
with an added referral concept - and crowdfunded by STARTcoin?

If you want to check it out, please go through my Affiliate Link,

then search for the group "AltcoinTrading", and join - then I can allow you into that group.

nah, I regret. Regret that I believed in SOIL.

Seems like there is no project manager -> nobody from DevTeam is trying to show that they know HOW to build brand recognition. responsibility, how to communicate with users.

Just long-stories about great initiative which needs huge amount of work. Where is this huge work?  Even from yesterday, no activity, no support, no answer. Looks like they left behind. No hope, abandon your good faith.
It is sad !!!

yesterday was sunday, and sometimes a family day is necessary. the work ive been doing, writing different retailers and introducing them to the concept of SOIL and its attendant blockchain. this is what ill keep doing. a mere 24 hours of noncommunication doesnt make an abandonment.

it took us a week to get listed on teh exchanges, and people started to dump as quick as they could, which is their right, a good 40% of minted soul has been dumped on the market, and ive actually been buying it up as i can. we're working on porting SOIL towards an android wallet, along with something similar to "ethereum stats" on android.

im saddened that so many, so quickly, lost faith in SOIL. certainly mining needs to be profitable, but i cant control the market or what someone is willing to pay or sell for SOIL. i cant control the impatience of those that need instant gratificatoin. the mining and block verification apparatus is the engine that drives the system, and i'll continue mining it irregardless. i still believe in the project and hope that those that have lost any faith in it go on to make money in whatever new coin they find to work on. i still have a plan with SOIL, and will continue to follow it. andi hope that when we do make those steps forward towards what is envisioned, those that have walked away will return.

a strong cryptocurrency takes time to build. sadly, many in the community expect new shiny features every day and BIG NEWS! every other day. ive stated what we want to do with this currency, what sort of service we can build, and will continue working towards that. it takes a lot of futuristic thinking to truly envision what a platform such as SOIL is capable of, commercially speaking, so if we're ahead of our time with what we envision, we'll still be here working when the rest of cryptocurrency catches up with us.

No problem and this is the time people like me can buy some cheap share in SOIL.
When the rate was 10K I was sitting on my hands and not buying.

This is what happens when you wait 3 weeks for exchange and refuse lesser ones to start with.  Roll Eyes

it took us one week from launch to be listed on an exchange, and the only exchange we "refused" was asking cryptsy to be removed from their voting list, which was a decision reached when more and more stories began surfacing about potential problems occurring surrounding that exchange. (they ignored that and we're still listed on the voting page)  your statement above is hardly accurate by any means. i spent much of last week writing as many exchanges, including many of the smaller ones, looking to have SOIL listed. we managed to do so within one week, on one of the exchanges that the community stated many times they wanted us listed on.

i also apologize that i could find no way to verify your claims regarding the testnet mining of 9000 SOIL that you statetd to have done. as you hadnt provided yourtest wallet address, and we have no backup stats for each wallet that mined the testnet,(that information was purged when we launched the mainnet), i could not find anything. there had been ample time to provide the testnet wallet to us for a bounty, and i did look into your situation in the pursuit of fairness as long as i could.

development and work on teh project continues, but developmental and big market announcements arent something that going to happen every single day. these things take time, which ive been clear on since day one.

i still put in several hours a day on this project and will continue to do so. ill assist where i can with issues that crop up in the community. ill continue to research where technological advancements within the ETH-platform community can be used appropriately with SOIL. ill continue to write retail storefronts and industry concerns relating to our work on SOIL and how we could integrate with their business needs.
