To people thinking about taking him up on his offer; HitBTC prices are incredibly inflated because they control the supply. I wouldn't take the $1 as a guiding price.

It was stated in this thread but I cannot point you to the exact page since the number of comments has been rising quite fast. It was supposedly based on information from the slack channel. Don't take my word for it though as I'm not affiliated with SONM.

Is Hibtc a good exchange ? Any experience on it ?

It may take time and honestly exchange should not be the priority as it may lead to some dumping.

From what I understand you can move your coins. The only coins that were to be locked up for a month were the ones on the smart contract.

Yes while it is exchange's prerogative to list a coin but devs efforts can get listing quickly.
Look at cofound, they got their tokens listed on Bittrex within 2 weeks.
You can also contact exchanges and take the initiative.
