This new argument about there being 'too many coins' is interesting.

Are there too many kinds of shoes? Are there too many different colognes?

Only the market can determine what happens with any new offering - and that includes altcoins!  Grin

The 100 Billion coins is to remove the ridiculous Decimals required to understand most crypto currencies. The general public out there don't like lots of 0's after their decimal point, it confuses them! Imagine checkouts thats will be nought, point, nought, nought, nought, nought, nought, five Spartan coins please. As someone said it's much easier just to say 50 spartan coins please.

Personally I don't get the point to any coin having a max of 100 billion. You do avoid the decimal point issue, but then get a new problem: Zimbabwe style prices. Let's say the coin reaches doge levels, and seeing how popular doge is, that is probably unlikely. 50 spartan = like 3 cents. If it turns out to be the more likely scenario of cheap mufti-billion coin LTC market prices, then here is your 50 spartan worth .002 cents. So instead of the decimal issue, you create a new one, where people will need to pay 10 million coins to send like $20.

If the developers do all they have planned, the coin may still be popular. I just don't understand why any coin needs so many billions.

That is a fair point, let's see where the price settles, ONLY the market forces will decide.  Wink

Not long now till release, am looking forward to see how it goes.

Glad the forum is starting to buzz! People obviously have passionate opinions here or they wouldn't be talking the way they are! After speaking with the Dev personally i would also fly the flag for Spartan coin. He's a genuine nice guy trying to start a business everyone deserves a chance in my opinion.

The Dev is accomplishing a lot in a short space of time and yes it will take time to grow, each to their own opinion however i'm certainly hedging my bet with this coin.

It will eventually have it's own exchange right on the website... sounds great to me! Who doesn't love Sparta and their will as a unit to conquer and overcome all! Great story and the new 300 film is on the horizon too, people will have a naturally fresh in the mind view of Sparta. Good timing i'd say!

Since its fun to correct people. It's "ICO" A troll that is obviously a victim of Stackcoin. Sorry for that mate. I like this coin. And its direction.

*I do find the gif addicting to watch. Thanx for posting.

Seriously? maybe check first what IPO means as clearly you do not have a clue.
Then come and try harder.

It is just another shitcoin after all...SpartanCoin...yeah big future here. Beware bitcoin and 1000 other scrypt clones of litecoin...

Jeeez these ppl  Grin

And gif is great, you welcome.

I know what IPO stands for, as do most people. This is not shares in a company. This is not the standard IPO system, none of the coins ever released are truly an IPO. Yes its Initial, yes its Public and yes it's an offering. This can be IPO, IPCO or ICO. 'Initial Coin Offering' works for me. Don't be a retard about it.

Great, now explain that to this other guy, as he was the one correcting me...off you go...and don't be a retard about it.
Or...both accounts are yours? oopsie Grin

Wanna have a bet on the outcome of this coin?

short term or long term bet? every coin out there rises and falls and rises and falls. Even the mighty Bitcoin crashes.

Extreme long term (for cryptos). How about six months from now on?

niothor, I do not need to demonstrate anything to you, but, again, I'm not the DEV. I had many email exchanges and I just like his ideas. And I put my own money in this coin, so yes, I'm a cheerleader now.

Indeed! There are serious people behind this coin, always ready to reply to any questions, even silly ones. And every decision is taken with logic and detailed explanations. I invested in this coin ICO, but only after talking with the DEV.

This coin has a lot of potential! Only 3 days to go, very exciting time!

Cut the bullshit.
newbie account acting as a shill for this coin... At least change the way you talk a bit.

I would imagine people may also talk a certain way after talking to the developers. Newbie account isn't a direct relation to ones intelligence or experience. They just never needed an account here before, possibly made one to begin to show support. That's what people do. You can read and educate yourself all through out this forum without registering. So I guess we should stick to "Dumb uneducated responses" and act like a newbie until our post count is high enough we can then use a number under our name to pretend we are an authority. We will support any coin we like with whatever means we see fit. Mining. investing. Helping spread the word. Filling bounties when and if they are available.  Whatever.
