Clueless!
Trying to get you guys some business (with my home mining on the fence only fair) anyway some guy asked me about spondoolies
I told him you guys legit and fair...he is interested but not yet on bitcointalk his question was will this unit work with
the 2 Seasonic PSU's below (hey he asked ...so i'm asking)
on an SP20 Jackson 1.7TH unit?

from your spec  sheet on the below page I get below:

quote:

The SP20 were tested in our lab using Seasonic SS-650KM and Corsair CX750M. Each unit using 2 PSU.

unquote:

I assume all is well with the guys units below ...but just double checking the pair of them ss-660xp2 and ss-860sp2
will work fine....but again he asked me to ask

Seasonic SS-660XP2 ATX 12V/EPS 12V, 660W, 80 PLUS PLATINUM Full Modular
certified Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Certified Haswell

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151121

the other unit he has on hand for the 2nd psu needed is below

SeaSonic Platinum SS-860XP2 860W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready
80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply  Haswell Ready.

I just tried to purchase an SP20, was re-directed to a shopify(?).com for bitcoin payment and it said the site was down. I guess I will be buying an S5 instead. I really wanted an SP20, though.

Or you could wait a few and try again?
Can\t really want it super bad, if you'll settle for something else lol

I checked out 3 units a few hours ago no problems. The shop does indeed go to Shopify . The last ones i ordered on Tuesday and they arrived by DHL yesterday.

I checked out 4 Units on Thursday via Paypal, but didnt get any Sent-confirmation yet Sad

They are in Israel. They are closed Friday and Saturday. Will most likely ship on Sunday. They work Sunday to Thursday.

Cheesy lol, I forgot that. Thanks Captain!

I think their days off are Friday and Saturday, so you will probably receive a tracking number tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.

I am glad to see i am not the only one having a miner going down without any reason, however in my case my psu switches off and only starts after i have let the psu without power for some time.
I will try the sd card option as well
Also noticed since zvisha set it very low speed it seems to run a bit longer now, really hoping it not again to stop
I does not matter which psu i use all the heavy ones or even a 1000watt and a 1200 watt connected with the weird sp20 it can run for a few hours or a few weeks and then all of a sudden poof its no longer running.
However i am not sure if its the same problem, this machine does need much more power than the earlier bought one.

Oh, man, I hope they send me a good one as I'm hoping to buy more if this one works out good.

It seems to me, you're having some kind of electrical issue. PSU will shut down itself to protect it when faced a catastrophic event, such as overloading. Your miner may be drawing more power than the PSU can give. What settings are you configuring it with?

please clarify - you have an SP20 and it tends to overload your 1000W and 1200W power supplies occasionally? Is it running at full hashrate (ie: <1500GH)?

sounds like you are drawing too much power and tripping the PSU, which isnt the fault of the SP20

Tried it one more time and it worked this time! Let's see how fast they can ship to West Coast USA. I don't like DHL and would prefer UPS or Fedex but whatever they can ship the fastest. Thank you!

SD Boot fixed it for me.

As i understand the SD card must remain inside the rig forever..?

For now.
Remo will contact you with experimental SD recovery to try to fix the emmc

I would also like to try this please - I'm still waiting for Barbara to send me RMA shipping info, so might as well try this out in the meantime - if it works it will save me having to send the unit back & fight with DHL over tax & import duty again  Smiley
Have you try SD boot (not recovery) ?

Give an inch take a mile...

Having the ability to switch voltage settings by time of day is nice, but how about a way to automatically adjust voltage settings based on which pool connection is alive?  If I'm renting out my SP20 at a rate significantly higher than BTC (mining WestHash at a good time for instance) then I might want to optimize for more hash rate, but when I'm not renting out I want to optimize for power.

This is not essential; it is just a "would be nice" addition.  Yes, I know, feature creep.
