I'm doing some comparisons between miners and would like to calculate the costs of the SP31 without the PSUs as most of the competition don't include PSUs in their offerings. Could you tell me what PSUs are in those SP31s? If not, could you give a rough estimate for the cost of the 2 PSUs if you were to buy them on Newegg for example?

Basically, I want to know the cost of the SP31s minus the cost of PSUs.

At the moment the SW upgrade is down, but we changed the line name to SP3x, so after you upgrade to latest FW as SP30 it will start identifying as SP3x, and you will see the next FWs.

But now the SW upgrade is down anyway Smiley

And yes, they have always shipped on time.
Not sure if you read my post, see above.

I own and operate an SP10 and two SP30s. Totally brilliant units. Spondoolies-Tech gear is top notch "server grade" equipment, and their customer service is the absolute best that I have encountered in the industry.

Just so you know, I've been mining 24x7 for the last 444 days*, and I also own gear from ASICMINER, Bitmain, Bitmine, BFL, and KnCMiner.

Since Spondoolies-Tech started selling miners I haven't found myself purchasing from another vendor. Not saying I won't (I quite like variety), but ever since I got my first SP10 I've been addicted to the build quality, form-factor, efficiency, and customer service.

And yes, they have always shipped on time. They cut it fine with the August Group buy, but I did personally receive my SP30s in the month of August, albeit at the very end of August... but still August. Some other companies (I won't mention who) will keep telling you that they will deliver in Two Weeks™, and deliver 6 months to 1 year late (you think I'm joking... I'm not). Then of course there are the scams that take your money and never deliver a product.

* I calculated the date I started mining and by pure chance as I post this it is 444 days since then.

In fact the problem is WHEN you got the items...1 week later is probably too late.

Ty again...last question...they had always shipped in time?

Ty, really.
Yes, to my knowledge they never missed their promised shipping time in the history of their company (shipping since late March).

The sp30 / sp31 is a datacenter optimised miner, so if you are looking to host your unit at home, I would wait for the Sp20 to become available soon. (as they are quite noisy)

They are well made but too expensive for any expectation to recover your investment. this company does not ship from stock - pre-orders only at this time.

They are one of the best miners out there but always educate yourself about different miners such as power requirements, noise and heat.
Depending on where you are going to put them these are large concerns.
Spondoolies makes one of the best.  The are power efficient and perform well. They perform the best on 220v.  Many homes only have that for their dryer in the US.

Yes they are.
I have their miners and have reviewed them.
Dogie has also made Guides for them as well.

Ty guy,

so.. their products are simply the best on the market for avaibility and price ?

We will be testing these thoroughly to power the SP20 normal and OC, very cheap option to power them compared to $150+ ATX supplies. We use only the highest gauge wiring, and if your paranoid your welcome to wire up your own.

.... They're only 900W @ 110V, ie insufficient, AND are unsafe unless you're providing an enclosed case.

1200W @ 220, and we have tested them up to 1400W at the wall.

overclocking the SP-20 will give you 26 $ / month more without counting the extra electricity that maybe vital in the equation overclocking or not.

The price for extra 100W of power is ~$8/mo for me, so i will still come ahead. I don't see why not to try overclocking if I already have this PSU.

Close, I was counting there 151 units ..  679.5 Th/s [x 0.082 BTC/day (eligius) =] or 55.7 BTC/day ~ $26,299.36 /day [when BTC/USD = $472 (btc-e)] while eating 10.872MWh electricity daily (in 24h).

27 - 25
24 - 27
24 - 24

Your numbers seem a bit off to me.

You're right! the total BTC/day would be 151 x 0.082 = 12.382 BTC (as per eligius you get 0.082 BTC /day for ~ 4.5 TH/s).
The error was in multiplying the total hash rate with the eligius value, instead of the number of units hashing .. hence the BTC and/or $$$ numbers came out 4.5 times bigger.
