Just to compare the new Bitmine S3+ https://www.bitmaintech.com/productDetail.htm?pid=00020140813125800214NBU85kWt0672
10 pieces = 4530GH +-5% / 3550W
Price: 5.8 BTC + 5 PSUs for each $150 = ~$3,132 + $750 = $3,882
Funny, exactly the same like the YUKON SEPTEMBER BATCH 2 for $3,895 - but slightly less noisy...

true but BItmain is out of stock now. 20th september preorders only...

price per 1Th recap:

noose is tightening around... you have to be stupid to preorder anything now.

The three from my customer are capped at 1100W, as per Zvi's recommendations. They're each hashing stably at around 3950 GH/s. Currently, I'm seeing 3923.69 GH/s, 3951.675 GH/s, and 3982.555 GH/s. These three are all running 2.2.35.

This simply isn't the advertised (after adjustment) 4.5TH.  WTF?  Is spondoolies trying to lower the rate still further?  6.5Th -> 6.0TH -> 5.5TH -> 4.5Th -> 4.0TH.  Where does this stop?

4 is about 60% of 6.5.  That sucks tremendously.  That is not a simple engineering estimation error.  That is a major defect.

Product was advertised at 5.4Th/s. The 6Th/s was an added bonus and not available for long and for many customers. SP10 had a drop in hashrate on 110V so it was expected to be the same for SP30. The machine can do 4.5Th/s, but you just need to supply it the proper power.

it was 0,5 W/GH. 2200W for 3950GH is 0,56 W/GH. But I guess its not the 5400GH, thats a pretty 25% loss. When you ordered 4 pcs. then you have one lost. Pre-orders are like buying a pig in a poke. it could we worser.

Spondoolies's machines operate at or near the limit of their power supplies' performance, which means that running on 120V slows down the machines.

This seems to be a very short-sighted cost-cutting measure. As someone who has mined for many years, running PSUs 24/7 at 100% capacity is never a good idea.

Actually they run them over 110% capacity   source ZVI somewhere in this thread

my sp10s are running fine since april @ 100%. it really depends on the psu i think...

I have been trying to purchase the SP-30 6TH/s miner and have actually written with Gadi a few times, then,, poof, vanished.  Now the SP-30's are 4.5TH/s and we have been trying to figure out the difference but cannot reach anyone at Spondoolies-tech.  We were going to purchase between 4 & 6 miners but could not talk with anyone.  Has anyone else had this problem?  Doing the "due diligence" I thought I had found the best company to do business with, now???  No answers.
Thanks to anyone,
gpguy

I think they just got another round of chips in, so im sure everyone is hands on deck to get the SP30's put together, tested, and out the door to us. The miners you are looking to buy appear to be available on their website for September Batch, there is enough information in this thread that you can easily decide if you are willing to purchase or not, the only reason i can see youd want to talk directly to them is for a discount.. now in my opinion, getting miners into our hungry hands and on time is more important than offering you a discount for possibly 6 miners in September (they have not even come up with a finalized compensation plan, they obviously can't discount before that happens) . Things will slow down eventually and they will become the great forum presence they have always been. Hang in there brotha.

NOT that i begrudge anyone a vacation, however timing is 'as they say' of the essence...

The 6TH/s SP-30's are vapour-ware as I understand it. The 4.5TH/s version actually exists.

Spondoolies is in full production mode at the moment and support requests with less priority could take a little longer than expected.

You will get very fast replys if you need to change your shipping address (e.g to your hosting site) or need help with one of your already owned units (you can also post here first and someone will likely help you).
