I was going to do that tomorrow when Im up.

I literally watched it go dead right in front of me.

BOTH miners....

Did I put the GHash.IO addy in there right?  It shows down too :S
Its just too odd.

Another option is to put the alternative BTCG server aa your second pool. Since you have the EU BTCG server as your first pool, put the US server as your second.

Ive tried BOTH BTCGuild servers, both say DEAD.  It said alive for 10 seconds, then DEAD.  This is just too weird.
I tried GHash.IO also, nothing.
I cant understand why out of 4 servers, Eilgilus is the only one that will show alive.  Just not normal.

Glow Stick Dance!
Does anyone here mine on GHash.IO?

I just noticed while I was checking something BTCGuild dropped offline on my miner and says dead.
Ive never set up a backup pool so I put in GHash.IO and it shows dead also??
Am I putting in the address wrong?  I know BTCGuild is in there correct as its been working for weeks.

I finally got Elgilus to work in the 3 slot, the only one showing UP.

I have   -      http://us1.ghash.io:3333   -   X.workerid1    -    12345

Is that the correct format for the pool settings?

Also, if you have three pools in the settings, does it only mine on one at a time?
I thought I tried two once and it seemed to be splitting work between the two.

Does it run the 1st pool as a primary, then work its way down?

Was going to ask this before but BTCGuild almost NEVER goes down like this.

I haven't noticed BTCG being down at all today. And there thread in the pool subforum doesn't mention anything either... which it would have if it was down. PM eleuthria for access to the private server. It literally NEVER goes down.

Are either of those options going to keep decibel levels below 70db?
And as a few side questions, will you still be offering any tech support for SP-10's once you stop manufacturing them?
Would Spondoolies ever consider getting into manufacturing Scrypt ASIC's or are they primarily dug in with SHA-256?

Yes, yes and yes
Can you clarify on the last question? Smiley Scrypt - Yes or no?

I gotta say, if Spondoolies enters the Scrypt ASIC market and brings their A-Game reliability along with easy to use Plug & Play style ASIC ideology, the competition will collectively piss themselves... DO IT SPONDOOLIES!!!  Grin

If I remember correctly, Spondoolies already said in an earlier post (can't remember how far back) that the are looking into/working on a Scrypt miner.

The noise complaints are numerous. So why doesn't Spondoolies address this issue and make an alternate version in a 2U rack size? I'm sure they would sell more units if they weren't so loud.
Because the product is already obsolete and they have the SP 30 to move now. Wouldn't make sense spending the money on engineering for something that is soon to go EOL. Would be a great miner though.

August is still 2 months away. That's an eternity in BTC time. They could sell a lot of SP10 ver.2.0 in that time period. All that's needed is a bigger case with larger fans and a PSU that doesn't sound like shop-vac. Their talented engineers could probably knock that out in an afternoon.

What is most important is to make a really low low power High effiency miner
At least my biggest problem is electricity cost
not the multiplugs I have to buy or the rooter cables or the shelves to put them
or the noise that comes out of my garage.
Its electricity !!!

How are you powering 3 SP10's in your home? And cooling them? Is it summer there yet?
[/quote]

Yup, it is summer with 32° outside. First of all: Open windows in the night, close the shutters at daytime. That keeps the cold in the building. So that does the trick at the moment. Regarding power at home: I'm at the limit with three SP10, 12 Antminers, 2 Dragons and some Scrypt-Rigs. Now for every new miner like an SP10 or 30, I have to get rid of some Ants....

Its Swiss he is living. Even in the summer its cooler from what I know as its mountainous area and lots of green too

1.21 GIGA WATTS
I'm able to access the shell, but how does one view the CGMINER screen while it is hashing? And to exit it, restart it while in the shell? I do like the graphical interface since it does have all you need, but more or less out of curiosity. Thanks.

If i'm not mistaken to see cgminer you have to type "cgminer -dr". To exit what? Cgminer? The shell window?

I don't think cgminer can be viewed in ssh, it would be nice thou.

for some reason screen command isn't installed.
could dev team please include 'screen' command configured to view cgminer in a future update of the firmware.

BTW, minepeon did have screen command working with cgminer and cgminer could be viewed by typing 'screen -r' in ssh session.
