Noooooooo…SP10 Dawson Mid June Batch is out of stock.

Spondoolies-Tech, is there any chance you may open up for more orders or another batch of the SP10?

this is the final batch of SP10, i'm led to believe. There will be no more SP10 made - Spondoolies-Tech posted up the thread that this is the case.
best you get your order in for SP30 before they all sell out!

Thanks for the info.  That stinks for those of us who didn't order the August batch of the SP30 because the September batch is still 3-4 Months out.

that's just how it is my friend... the best mining rigs are always going to be in high demand. We need to get in early - waiting til september isn't going to help either; you'll need to get that order in sharpish... same thing will happen and by the time you see them ready for build, they'll sell out.
I should also say, Sp-Tech methods have been top notch, right from their self-funded batch 1 SP10's to the final batch, everything they have done has been right on the money with regards to customer service and quality control. I managed to get an SP10 from the 2nd batch and i'm glad I did - it's now mined almost 4BTC and I can see break even looming up ahead in the next few months. However, I was scraping my pennies together for more SP10; i've also missed out it would seem...

This company's rating has changed in the Manufacturer Trustworthiness Guide.

With all due respect, I disagree, Spondoolies-Tech should have been at the very least an A- out of the gate and by now at least an A.

Regards,

~Blaise

yes, but theres nothing like shameless self-promotion.

this kid obviously has plenty of free time on his hands and cobbling together a bunch of half facts and assumptions/'rewards' for a community of lazy, easily pleased 'wannabe' miners has earned him a bunch of free hardware and now tips...

cant knock the guy for gettin in where he fits in.

im far from easily pleased and know full well what goes on but its not really my business.

however there is my opinion - like it or lump it.

and if you really think avalon have earned a B+..... just have a think rather than a guess (and a freebie)

Huh? You seem to be assuming quite a lot unless perhaps you personally know the reviewer (doggie), for myself I do not but I do lookover his reviews. I was speaking of my personal experience as a very satisfied customer of Spondoolies-Tech. I get it, your saying your "far from easily pleased and know full well what goes on..." so tell me please, I would like to know, what grade would you give Spondoolies for there SP10?

Regards,

~Blaise

Question on the hosting option.  If we order the sp1 now, when will the hashing start?

So I have the SP10s in the hosting center I mentioned earlier.

Guys there did a really good job.  They have never touched a BTC ASIC before to my knowledge and were
even able to factory reset one with the SD Card I included for emergencies.  They use static IPs so there
was a little problem I think when they moved my SP10s to 220V power after an initial mixup where to mount
them.

So they charged me $225 a month and $225 setup fee for them.  MUCH cheaper than my .35C per KWh power
in Japan.

Im getting between 22 and 25 degree air.

Both SP10s are above 1.4GH/s with the latest firmware and custom settings from
Zvisha.  Im SOO impressed with the staff at SP-Tech.  Always improving and helping us.

Nice info and pics, feel free to post here too with Colo details: H/w Hosting Directory & Reputation (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=622998.00)

We are gathering a list of Bitcoin friendly colos to host mining h/w.

Cheers,

I have to agree.  Not many other companies will give you the support that SP-TECH does.  Guy has been very helpful from start to Finish.
Katya went above and beyond with my order and shipping.  Zvisha has helped me more than once with tuning and other issues after firmware
updates and ensuring everything was running solid before I sent them off for hosting.  I dont know if you can say that about any other company
right now to get that level of customer service.  They really stand behind their product and from start to finish will make sure you are satisfied.
I know they have offered more than one customer here publicly on the forum compensation for issues with their SP10 or with hosting downtime.
Who else will do that?  Id say they get a B++ or A- at the very least.  Top notch company in my book and I would recommend them to anyone
here looking to buy a top of the line ASIC miner!!!

I agree.
Spoondolies never joked about their CS.
I mean yes in stock shipping is better than preorder.
But you seriously cant rate LA better than spoon.
LA has tons of CS issues unresolved.

They probably would be if they didn't decide to go the preorder route.

I rebooted ONE of them, and all the pools came back all to Alive on BOTH units.
Just too weird.
Im always reluctant to reboot these since they are hosted in a datacenter.

Ask your data center for your own IP address.

I do, each device has its own remote manageable IP address.
Im just worried that something could happen when they reboot or change settings and
I lose connectivity to them for some reason.  So far so good though.

SP 10
A lot of noise?
Suitable for a small apartment??

Not really. You might want to find another place to host it.

I just found some cheap rack hosting in the US through a friend of a friend.

I did this for the time being.
1 inch foam around the 7 foot rack from floor to ceiling.
It has a 220V AC BLASTING into the little self contained closet.
NO ventalation because if I open the balcony you can hear it 2 blocks
down.
Ive got it down to under 25db now I think.
Maybe hang a blanket down from the ceiling too would drop it even
lower but I can sleep in the room.  I did start using one earplug though to sleep
easier.

I was going to do that tomorrow when Im up.

I literally watched it go dead right in front of me.

BOTH miners....

URL    User    Status    Pr    GW    Acc    Rej    Disc    Last    Diff1    DAcc    DRej    DLast    Best
   eu-stratum.btcguild.com    XXX_1    Dead    0    1    1    1

Did I put the GHash.IO addy in there right?  It shows down too :S
Its just too odd.

Another option is to put the alternative BTCG server aa your second pool. Since you have the EU BTCG server as your first pool, put the US server as your second.

Ive tried BOTH BTCGuild servers, both say DEAD.  It said alive for 10 seconds, then DEAD.  This is just too weird.
I tried GHash.IO also, nothing.
I cant understand why out of 4 servers, Eilgilus is the only one that will show alive.  Just not normal.

Check with your hosting. Maybe it's a problem from their internet.
