Ok so I am thinking of building a custom rack, something like this below.
Back side in the picture (not shown) would be open for the intake side (without metal/plexiglass door). Front side would have a large, quiet 220mm 600rpm fan to exhaust heat. The noisy high-rpm exhast fans would be just behind the 220mm fan, and the whole box will contain acoustic foam (something like this )
I hope this works without becoming too hot.
Also another problem is how to draw the 12V required for the fan from the SP30 PSUs (they don't have a molex connector).
What do you think?

I would imagine something like putting it into a larger wooden box using these http://www.coolerguys.com/840556090359.html

Is there a way to make the SP30 more silent? (apart from underclocking/setting fans at lower speed).
Something like putting it in a sound-proof box or something..?

duct several more silent fans thru it!?

at 3th i find it silent, if ambient is not very high

Do you have some links about KNC 16nm miners? As far I know TSMC have not produced these chips for bitcoin miners yet. KNC are talking about these chips since the end of 2014, but it's just PR.
To my mind KNC has upgraded their 28nm miners like Bitmain, but I don't have any proofs & links.

Only from KNC themselves

but looks liek I have ot settle for some Antminer S7's instead.  Undecided
No, you don't have to settle for an S7. Do the math. You are unlikely to ROI before the block halving. Better off buying BTC and hodling while it's 1BTC < $250 USD, IMO.

+1

Bitmain and some customers calculate ROI with suggestion the difficulty will not change  Huh

heh with the current difficulty rise likely due to KNC bringing up its 16nm chip run for their large world class data hall in iceland and bitfury going to do the same in probably
2-3 months in that they've taped out their 16nm stuff...this 5% diff rise could be a pretty good constant for the next 4-6 months ....trying not to be dramatic ..but it
kinda looks ugly if my guess above is right Sad

The ones that calculate with no change are dreaming.  Some claim when new gear goes online old gear is going offline.  But I have found old gear normally does not go offline but to a cheaper electricity area.

This week I think a min of 5.  But guess we will see.  We are going to have a few pumping out gear though.

Go Big or Go Home.....
Too bad there is no info 'leaking'. I know I'd rather buy an SP based miner for the next gen wars coming up, but looks liek I have ot settle for some Antminer S7's instead.  Undecided

Thank you SP.

For those not familiar with the word "EDGARizer" it refers to Electronic Data Gathering, Analysis and Retrieval a online public accessible database set up by the US SEC (United States Securities Exchange Commission) set up by the The Office of Compliance Inspections and Examinations ("OCIE") to protect investors & future investors through administering the SEC's nationwide examination and inspection that all parties have equal access to information provided by any party related to a "Public Companies" activity.

This was unexpected.

What's laughable is all of the comments on them becoming KNC like with a one sided post from someone regularly bashed on the forms for having shit integrity. I am very interested in what Spondoolies has to say and am keeping an open mind given the circumstances..

If you  really are  open mind, then you can understand, that home miners is no longer needed from Spondoolies.

And in this fight, I'm in dogies  side.
Although I does not like him at all, he is currently right.

Oops, we can not sell miners anymore, is no excuse for not complying the given  promises.

I think we are talking about separate things here, you are somehow linking Spondoolies decision to offer, or not offer home miners to the fact that dogie may or may not have a claim.. About as relevant to this post as your hair color is...

To dogie's point about Spondoolies being online every day, wondering why they haven't spoken up and first thought that comes to mind is that they may be pursuing legal action against him, that is one prime reason to go silent.

We may have only heard half of the story.  But what would they be going after Dogie on legal action?

Don't think we have heard that side of story unless I missed something.

That was more or less my point, we only heard one side so I continued with some conjecture..

Few points:

1. I'd like to say that every time someone at Spondoolies said something to me, they always delivered on that promise. Errors could be made, but I NEVER seen any ill intent whatsoever. Quite to the the contrary, they were very helpful.

2. Their equipment is/was top notch.

3. it is a little sad that they were not able to raise capital to go on their own and instead pursued this reverse merger into BTCS. I am not privy to any details, but i don't think that apart from deploying Spond machines, BTCS has any substantial revenue streams.
