I do not know anything about spotmecoin. But I did research into bean coin which I randomly picked from an icowebsite to detect scam projects with a new method.
Then I also came out with this project.
But they have many more projects.

This is a scamgroup from cyprus & UK . And the Real people behind this projects are

why do I know that 99% sure?
check https://meyzer.com/Exchange check the address on the bottom of the page on google.
you will then enter a shopping center. So be sure that this is the other group

Latest update –
The remote node is now available for remote wallet syncing. This is being done in preparation for the release of the GUI. Please download the config file available on the spotmecoin website and github

Try it out. You will be surprised at how fast you can sync a wallet from the remote node. We’d like it faster for sure, but takes the process down to minutes when starting out with a fresh wallet.

Keep mining, GUI wallet will be here before you know it.

They have dropped off the discord for a while and just check in now and again as they find the negative comments and constant pushing a bit of a drain and distraction from the main work which is fair enough and applies to a lot of projects.
