When people switch over to another coin that is being pumped, do they actually earn more or they are just chasing the profit while their blocks are being matured and their coins being exchanged?

You probably wouldn't be considering that if the chart was showing the actual network hashrate. For if it did, we would be seeing significant spikes instead of the difficutly adjustment's gradual ones.

I recommend that everyone check the block timestamps. If it is what I suspect, the flashmining is random and/or ongoing. eg. The whales and/or pool(s) always return when the difficulty bottoms out, then leave once it peaks again.

Whatever you do, please do your research. Do not let the insider shills control what you learn and know about any coin. Smiley

Hippie,

Have you ever bothered to actually LOOK at whats under the mining tab on an a Spreadcoin wallet?
http://img.techpowerup.org/150207/Hippie-hashrate.jpg

There is your "actual network hashrate" right there.

You know, I don't know if you have thought of this before or not, but maybe if YOU actually did a little research before going off all Chicken Little all the time, maybe people would able to start taking you a little more seriously for a change.

Just a thought!  Wink

You completely missed my point.

Lets see a graph/chart depicting the network's hashrate entire history. This will give us an idea of how big the whales are and may help with revealing other flashmine sessions.

It would be interesting to see some historical data. Farms, pools, etc. show up more easily when you can see points in time when they have problems, take breaks to mine elsewhere, do maintenance, DDoS, etc.

I can`t understand, Nvidia GPU miner working with compute_30 at this moment or no? I compile it with compute_30, miner start and mine, show me 900kh speed, but i can`t find blocks. Overall i have 7500Kh/s mining in 1 wallet.

You have to have patience when solo mining... Instead of getting constant shares all the time you will now be getting blocks several times a day. From my experience, at this difficulty and your 7500Kh/s hash rate, you should have gotten around 3 blocks in the last 12 hours if you are set up correctly with the stock Spreadcoin miner...

But be aware, it isn't consistent like clockwork, I have gone 7 hours without seeing a single block only to have 5 of them pop up in the next 2 hours... It's all about long term average.

Hope that helps!  Smiley
I know for solo mining need lucky, not only hashrate )) but i mining 27 hour with 7500kh/s and got nothing. My videocard on kepler kernel and support only compute_30.
And here's a GPU miner for the NVIDIA crew. Compute 3.0 support should be easy enough, but for now it's 3.5/5.0/5.2 only.

Win32 binary: https://github.com/tsiv/spreadminer/releases
Source: https://github.com/tsiv/spreadminer
Maybe 3 months later someone addon support for Compute 3.0 ?

Compute 3.0 support was released later the same day as the original.
thank you Smiley

Is there any CPU miner for spreadcoin? Standalone version?

I asked that already.

Nope, at least not public

Why would you want one at this point with the difficulty?

Botnet, of course.

I am not skilled to run a botnet, sorry Sad
Just have a huge CPU cluster of i5 cpus

Believe me, if you can run a cluster of CPUs, you're probably smarter than most botnet ops.

I can say only, thank you.

So how goes the development of SpreadCoin? Is there any new news or updates that anyone has to share?

I posted this on the new/ moderated thread..

I don't like what I'm seeing. Is that a single farm owning that huge chunk of the net hashrate going down for a few hours?

I made mention of a 800+ mhash spike/drop 2-3 weeks ago on the original thread and was ignored.

This is either :

a- a pool
b- the non public kernel is many times more efficient than we are led to believe
c- a hashpower /minting/ difficulty exploit

Wrong, wrong, and wrong! I know what it is, but I cannot say.

if you know, then its probably a farm using your miners, or people upgrading your miners for a new release.

Warmer - but keep in mind, I know of more farms than the ones I currently work with.

I give up

I see... Looks like you definitely have mining software issues. From your first post it sounded like you just started the miner and saw hashrate but no shares or blocks. Yeah, if you ran for a whole day and didn't see anything, you got problems. Wish I could help you, but I am not familiar with the Nvidia hardware. Have you checked on the Spreadcoin.org Forums or the new Spreadcoin non-spam thread?

How about some people found a coin to make some really good profit really fast.

SPR is totally a coin controlled by a small group of people.

I am mining SPR for a day or two, if I saw this downpeak, I would not bother setting up miners for this.
Looks like someone is in control of 50% of global hashrate. Don't know how, but that it is.
Really stinks like scamcoin. Unless there is an explanation. I doubt.

Check out my wallet for an example... Look at Feb 3.

Notice from 03:58 to 12:10 and from 12:10 to 21:47, 8 and 9.7 hours respectively, or 17.7 hours total, I only got two blocks... But then in the next 18 minutes at  21:48, 21:55, and 22:05 I got 3 blocks bam, bam, bam...

It's all about long term average.

Hope that helps!  Smiley

is this a pool going offline? Or just one farm profit switching. Or several miners profit switching?
