Token swap is eligible for all old STAKE holders.

Staking Smart Contract Breach & Token Swap Information

We would like to first start this blog post by expressing our sincere apologies over the incident which occurred on 23rd of May.
Our staking smart contract, due to launch at the end of May, contained approximately 71 million STAKE tokens, reserved as staking rewards.
However, these tokens were stolen due to a breach on the smart contract, resulting in major sell-offs on exchanges by the hacker.
On the bright side, we are glad that this occurred before the official launch of the smart contract, as the impact could have been much larger than it is today.
We are therefore, abandoning the old token contract, allowing users to swap their tokens to new ones. The new token will be created under better security standards with the staking feature readily implemented. We would like to take this as an opportunity for us to learn and better secure our smart contracts.

On 23 May 2018, our staking smart contract containing over 70 million STAKE tokens was breached.

Please refrain from purchasing/transacting STAKE tokens on exchanges and depositing/withdrawing STAKE from today onwards.

We will deploy a new token contract with better security standards and features, including the staking feature integrated within the token contract. This means you will be able to stake StakeIt tokens just by holding under your ETH wallets.

We will be conducting a token swap for your old STAKE token balances -> new STAKE tokens.

For ETH wallets, we will not consider any amounts deposited on 23/05/18 for the token swap. Only the balance you had prior to the date 23/05/18 will be considered for the token swap.

For Mercatox Users, you will have to temporarily change your password, disable 2fa, transfer other coins/tokens out of your account and let us know the details of your Mercatox ID. We will manually check your STAKE balance & transactions and approve your balance for the token swap.

This infiltration attempt did not succeed. We will take this as an opportunity to (i) upgrade servers (ii) completely make-over the overall design of the website.
