Which coin? What version?

Looks like the database was not detached properly before being copied. On the original computer open the Darsek client and goto settings>options and check the box "Detach databases at shutdown". Then shut down the client and wait a few seconds for it to shut down. Then copy and move your wallet file and/or all the files in the datadir.

Anyone know why I'm getting:

Warning: checkpoint is too old.  Wait for block chain to dowload, or notify developers.

Wallet says the block chain is up to date.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

If you have been mining UFC, you'd probably realize that there has been issues with transactions, performance, wallet forking and the health of the network in general. Dreamwatcher has discovered the issue, and he has created a fix.  A few of us have tested the wallet, and it seems to work well. He is in Central time, it's late for him, and he didn't have much rest since the KED relaunch, so I am posting this on his behalf.

PLEASE UPDATE YOUR WALLETS, AND PLEASE FOLLOW THE CORRECT STEPS

For windows users, the new wallet is downloadable from:

YOU HAVE TO CLEAN UP YOUR OLD DATA STORE: you need to re-download the whole block chain.
1. Click start -> type: %appdata% on the find/search bar, you'd get an explorer window.
2. Rename the federationcredit directory to to federationcredit_old
3. Copy the original wallet.dat and the federationcredit.conf (if you have it) to the new dir.
4. It's probably best if you add the official checkpoint server as a node in the conf file:

5. Start the new client, it's going to start syncing the blocks, and your balance should be intact.
6. If you get stuck, try again with completely empty federationcredit directory. After you are synced, replace the wallet file.

You need to clear out/delete the old datadir and send the old wallet.dat to [email protected] if you want to get the old coins exchanged for coins on the new chain. Please see the OP.

This is a new chain, as the old chain was beyond reasonable repair. If you start the new client with the old block chain information, it will crash.

Balances have been converted to new client. You can withdraw if you want. Pool should be back up fairly soon. But it is Christmas eve so it might be on the 26th before mining reopens

DARSEK PHASE 2 TESTING IS OVER....THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HELPED.

I was able to get the POW difficulty algo dialed in and responsive to the large hash differences a young coin like this can experience.

A couple of last minute tiny non-critical bugs, A few hours of local-closed loop POS testing (So can time-warp by setting systems dates to the future time and see how the POS works with the new changes).

A few more cosmetic improvements..and Darsek will be ready for release.

Over the weekend would be great, but I think we should take advantage of this relaunch to drum up interest in the Scifi coin family.

UFC is stable, except for the fact that the wallet hogs CPU for POS mining. There is a newer UFC client that limits the CPU usage to 1 core.

We should polish UFC as well, but let's get this targ out of the way first.
