Looks great man!  Trying to pull up my old wallet to see exactly what I had in there...

EDIT - Got it up...I have 10251.50, but I couldn't find that amount in the list from the block explorer

KED relaunch test phase 2 is ready to go. The block chain has been cleared and the Phase 1 client will not work with the new chain.

The phase 2 chain is pretty close to what the release chain will look like.

All the replacement coins are in the Phase 2 chain.

The only real difference is the coin maturity. 45 confirms instead of the 120 it will be in release.

There are some more under the hood changes, but I will write about them later.

I want more testing. Unfocus, Scifi and myself can invite people to test.

Please remember this is a test chain that will be discarded at release.

Darsek Relaunch update:

Everything is on schedule.

I have just completed testing the complete coin distribution cycle.

Everything works from the super block creation, through distribution and showing up in converted old KED wallets.

There is a lower limit on the amount of a transaction. So now it stands at 384 addresses that are > 0.001. Total amount remains virtually the same.

A couple of small bugs to clean up, and we will be ready for the final test.

I wanted to make the final test public, but as you can imagine that could be problematic.

Issues with people thinking it is the relaunch. The possibility of somebody trying to do the relaunch themselves after the source is made public and further confusing the community.

I have a correction:

There are 439 addresses total that had balances. When I was trimming the database, I was using a value of 0 to trim.

Turns out I had forgotten about the rounding differences between Python and C++.  Sometimes in CCE3 you will see some very small negative values, This reminded me to add the bit of code in CCE3 to not allow negative numbers and instead just report them as 0.

Anyway, because i was using 0 and not <=0 to trim the database, I found about 370 accounts with like -0.000001 in them.  Lips sealed

The database is now 439 accounts with a total of 284,407.903 KED. The Block we stopped counting, the total minted was 284,407.8899. Pretty dam close even with the rounding differences. Cheesy

So barring some transaction limitation on very low balances, every address will get exactly what it had at the block cutoff.

Just wanted to let everybody know, I have had my first successful test mass sending 1 KED to all the addresses on the old KED chain that had over 1 KED (366 addresses) in one transaction.

I am going to try the full ~800 addresses that had anything. I have not decided weather or not to put a limit such as 0.5 KED yet.

Perhaps doing all 800 addresses will just be sweet.  Grin

I had looked into doing a large coin base with 800 outputs, but there is a limit on the size of coin base that I was not aware of. I believed the coin base could be the size of any other transaction due to the way P2Pool works, but I was mistaken.

Still having issues mining GPL
d/l modified cgminer at
http://rghost.net/48162507

use this to launch it
D:\Coin_Wallets\Miners\scrypt-jane\ybcminer.exe --Nfmin 4 --Nfmax 30  --StartT 1377557832 -I 13 -g 1 -w 256 --thread-concurrency 8000 -o stratum+tcp://gplcoin.com:8888 -u mogrith.1 -p realpass

All I get is HW errors adjusted I down to 11 no difference.  I did have wrong StartT value but was told to use this one.

What are your setting if you are mining?

use these:

--Nfmin 4 --Nfmax 30 --StartT 1377557867
1377557832 is the correct time stamp for the chain start time:

From the GPL code :
Code:
int64 nChainStartTime = 1377557832

This is also the StartT value I use in my modified YACminer/ybcminer for GPL and they work fine.

Most of issue has to due with adjusting the hardware values (clocks, intensity.. etc) to match the current N-factor. It can be a pain in the arse, but that is the nature of a YAC based coin. My (3 GB) 7950's are down to teen values in K/H without hardware errors with correctly adjusted values or high 20's low thirty with 1/2 the shares being hardware errors when using less then optimum settings.

I believe incorrect mining parameters (such as StartT value) would result in pool rejects and not HW errors.

I know it is a real hassle, but it is Gold-Pressed-Latinum, one of the rarest materials in Trek lore.   Wink

Private beta for the Scifi Exchange would likely start on the weekend of Dec 21, give or take a few days.
It will be coordinated in scificointalk.

The first beta session is targeted to find bugs, we will be trading fake currencies. The second one will be using real currencies, early next year.

Beta testers will receive some token for their participation and effort. If you are interested in helping us, please sign up on this thread: http://scificointalk.com/index.php/topic,12.15.html

At wallet start I have such mistake

I reinstalled a wallet, loaded anew a chain of blocks, helps nothing!
Prompt that it is possible to make?

Dimazik, we know that the UFC client is having some problem with POS block generation, it will consume most of your CPU power.

There is a minor update for that to limit the CPU usage to just 1 core. It's not the complete solution, but it should help. The windows client is still being build, the source code and other info can be found here: http://scificointalk.com/index.php/topic,45.0.html

KED RELAUNCH UPDATE:

I have been putting in many hours (and a couple of all niters) to get the KED launch out on time, and it looks like it is going to make it.  Smiley

I am going to be ready for final testing sometime this weekend and it should be ready for launch next week. As of now the coding left consists of clean-up and placing some of the graphics in the qt-client like it was before.
After that and testing, all that remains will be to create the final new genesis block, "pre-mine" so to speak, and distribute the "pre-mine" back to the addresses on the original Darsek chain block.

The new client/daemon is directly cloned from the current version of Novacoin.

POW block reward is the same as before at 3.5 KED.

POS rewards have changed, they follow the current Novacoin standard. CryptoManiac has put much time and effort into tuning the POS and I see no reason to change it.

The client/daemon will automatically detect an old Darsek wallet, salvage the keys and create a current version of the wallet with the salvaged keys. Your old keys will not show up in your addresses book, but the client/daemon will use them and your balance will reflect what it was when the KED explorer was taken down. This method also allows for other ways to recover your old Darsek wallets in case the client/daemon cannot salvage a wallet for some reason.

This is a completely new block chain, different identifier, ports, and protocol versions. Old Darsek client/daemons will not be able to connect to the new block chain. The address version remains the same to allow for the distribution of the replacement coins directly on the block chain.

More later..  Smiley

So which of you dumbasses don't know how to actually trade coins and are dumping UFC on btcltc.com at any price?  The Chinese are very disciplined and hold coins.  Keep  that Total Sell Qty down in the 30k range, not the 320k it's at now.  Keep your coins there, just don't post them for sale all at once.  You are oversaturated the market plus with whoever just dumps for any price is just killing this for all.

Oh, and quit leapfrogging to get the first in line sell.  The Chinese are not stupid and will just wait, they won't buy and will just wait for you to sell to them.
