Seem like overheat. Is the fan ok? The fan should be run using 12V.

THX for your answer,

at time the original fan hangs at 5V and it's to the original very noise.

By ~200 GH/s the cooler are not hot and at time i have 0,04% HW, so i think it's enough!?

THX at all,

at time the miner runs perfect on this:

"hexminer8-chip-mask" : "255",
"hexminer8-voltage"  : "860",
"hexminer8-options" : "8:230",

so a other question to make the miner quieter Wink

Have the HEX temp sensors or is the air flow @ 5 or 7 V enough around 220GH/s?

I think 7V is enough and better than 5V!?

regards

The original fan is very powerfull for 7V, you may damage your PSU, instead connect 5W resistor 10-15ohm in series with the fan.

You can also use a 120mm fan instead of the 92 but you have to make some modifications, and finally if you have 2 devices here's what I've done:

The stand is from an old CD-ROM Wink

Hello guys,

thanks for your help, i have solved my problem Wink

I have run 2 Cgminer instances at the Pi and so runs the miners all at one Pi  Grin

I hope you can still help with the settings myself, i would run my HEX8A1 miner for tests at 200 GH/s, what settings i need?

At the moment the miner runs at ~ 160 GH/s?Huh

Quote
"hexminer8-set-diff-to-one" : "0",
"hexminer8-chip-mask" : "240",
"hexminer8-voltage"  : "900",
"hexminer8-options" : "8:240",
"set_default_to_8" : true

THX for your help Wink
use 230/860 it should do 230 GHS roughly
if not there might be a dead chip or not enough power

THX it's s so right:

Quote
"hexminer8-set-diff-to-one" : "0",
"hexminer8-chip-mask" : "230",
"hexminer8-voltage"  : "860",
"hexminer8-options" : "8:230",
"set_default_to_8" : true

and i only install cgminer with these commands:

./configure --enable-hexminer8

"hexminer8-chip-mask" : "255",
"hexminer8-voltage"  : "866",
"hexminer8-options" : "8:233",

or

"hexminer8-chip-mask" : "255",
"hexminer8-voltage"  : "860",
"hexminer8-options" : "8:230",

It depends on the board and chips, you may have to go lower to 8:220 while leaving the voltage at 860

OK thanks,

also no chance to run the Technobit (USB Port 1 on Pi) miner and the Bfx2 (USB Port 2 on Pi) Bitfury miner on one Cgminer instance?

Or I can to Cgminer instance on one Pi?

Also the only chance for one Cgminer instance is the integration from the HEX driver in the official Cgminer from choklivas?

Is it even possible to use the HEX8A1 with other USB Miner(Bitfury BFx2 and Antminer U2) on the same USB HUB?

regards

No. You need to put other miner on different usb port than hex8A1.

You also need to run different cgminer, Technobit patch had no support for non technobit miner. So when you compile cgminer, only enable technobit miner you own.
