Is there someone that have replaced the noisy fan and running stable @260/1000 ?

Impossible! But does depend if you win the silicon lottery, I see there are some more efficient A1 chips out there, and how cold your room is. Wink

Best I've seen on the pre-production lot was someone running 230/950 with more quiet fans blowing down the sides.

It would need a larger heatsink area, if only I could get a 3rd fan on top!

That industrial heatsink is made more for durability than surface area, but you could increase surface area by cutting slices across it.

There's a flat area under the heatsink (4.8x10cm) where you could attach a CPU/GPU heatsink and 92mm fan or even a water cooling block to a radiator!

Wow, as this is my only bitcoin mining machine, i will not modify it "too much" until i reach ROI.
Changing the fans is a modification i can handle, changing the whole heatsink is too risky for now...

I wasn't saying rip the old heatsink off, just add some more heatsink to the flat space under the original one.

Something like this (200x99x45mm) should accommodate another 2x quiet fans and in theory add another 200W of cooling for £25/€30.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271196219864?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

or just be happy when running 215GH/250W @ 220/900 that you're running it at best power efficiency, 0.86GH/W 1.16W/GH in my case.

Btw it is a very stable machine, running @260/1000 for one week now...
And i would like to thanks the whole community here (specially gator and zich), cause they really provide good help.

Martin,

Sorry to go off topic, but are you going to be making a board for the Hashfast chips? I noticed they were selling hem on the web today.

From Hashfast:

The Golden Nonce Chip is a leading-edge Bitcoin mining ASIC with 800 GH/s performance and low (best-in-class) power consumption.

Golden Nonce ASIC Chip Highlights:

High performance 28nm ASIC mining chip
Hashing Output: Up to 800 GH/s (overclocked)

Interesting, http://hashfast.com/shop/chipsales/
but I'm really looking forward to hear about plans for Bitfury 2, I did hear a rumor test chips would be available end of February?
I'm saving up my Bitcoins for Marto's next creation! Wink

Hello Martin,

I thought we agreed, order: RTCNXJFCR had not yet arrived and the deal was the end of February. If did not come until now, I doubt that will ever come (maybe I'm wrong)!
Could you please be so kind and answer me, or are you again violated our agreement. I slowly losing my patience and if my order, what we agreed 3x 260GHs HEX8A1 new and full tested, not come until Friday I will be forced to act by as I told you!
Once again, the deadline is Friday. After that I go to the Police!

you dont need to go to police just ask your money back if they dont sent you product in the end of the month. If they refuse that then you can go to police. Is a EU company and i dont think they can avoid for long time to refund you.

Hi,
I understand everything, but I paid 3 months ago, I no longer have patience!

How is that possible  Huh Huh Huh

Tecnobit start selling 30 Unit pre-production HEX8 on January 21, 2014.

A month ago, we agreed that it will make a replacement which has been awaited for quite a long time! that's how!

"End of February delivery" means they send out the miner by the end of February, not that you will receive it then. Just like the pre-production batch was Feb 10 delivery so they shipped them Feb 10 - 13 (my unit was sent out on 12th) and then it took some time to arrive. I expect the end of February units to be sent out before March 3rd (I have two units ordered in that batch).

You cannot expect a definite delivery date because various shipping options take varying amount of time.

Mine has been shipped on 17th.
My previous order has never been sent (but i have been refunded for that).

Dear,
You can go to police at any time, just tell me not to ship before that.
All our orders are end of February shipment and today is 26 of FEB.
Also stop this please.

Best Martin

Do you think I like doing this, I apologize for the inconvenience if I'm wrong?
