Wallet seems to sync but now says Zero Connections. What can I do about it? Are there some nodes that can be added?

Thanks!

I know how AV software works. But why is ASE consuming CPU cycles continously when the SnowGem wallet has been started?

It may because of your ASE setting. It scans the wallet continuously and increases the CPU load. If the problem comes from the wallet CPU load, we can fix but in this case, we can't give you the answer for ASE. Did you try SwingWallet?

I'm using the 1.0.6a SNG Wallet Smiley

I mean swing wallet, not the simple wallet. Could you try the wallet in another PC?

How did you come up with the name Snowgem? I gave it some time and thought about it but can't really come up with a reasonable conclusion. What's the point?

Hehe Smiley snow is obvious I think (it's winter), and gem = precious stone, so go figure Smiley I wouldn't try to find some hidden meaning here.

I would like to believe that Snowgem is really a precious stone, not a snowball.
Snowball, which grew and melted in the summer.

We release version 1.0.6a to reduce the CPU load when idling.

https://snowgem.org/downloads/snowgem-1.0.6a-windowsx64.zip

Note: after starting the wallet, it takes little time so synchronize everything and the CPU load may be high, but it should be lower after that.
Thanks for the update. I will install this one later today.

Thanks for the update!
My problem wasn't the high CPU load of SnowGemWallet itself, but when I start the wallet the Antimalware Service Execuatble (MsMpEng.exe) consumes a lot of CPU. With the 6.0 version it was 20 - 50% CPU load. With the new version 6.0a it's about 5 - 10%. A serious reduction. But why keeps the wallet software the AV software busy? When I close the wallet, the AV service goes to 0% CPU and keeps on that level.
Any idea?

It may because of the ASE is scanning the program.

Could you read this one, it may explain the reason.

How about the idea of donation from your pool for donation fund of Snowgem project, which will be used for listing on exchanges?
Cool idea! But at first, devs of Snowgem project have to create and announce offiicially about the donation fund.
Oficial fund for listing on exchanges might be breaking milestone for the project.
