My expectations about 4 or 5 exchanges before the new year was too optimistic! Nevertheless, in the first days of 2017 was able to implement part of the planned. Congratulations friends - Terracoin returned to Novaexchange!!!

Let the arbitrage begin!  I'll update everything tomorrow!

How much would it cost to create a merchant gateway tool?

From what I have recently discovered, it looks like it costs about 1 BTC.  It is similar to getting voted onto an exchange.  This is the site I was talking about in the previous posts.  https://www.coinpayments.net/vote

I think this could really improve how TRC is perceived.  I was already think of adding a page on the website which would show each shop that accepts TRC if we implement this.

I will submit TRC tomorrow to that site.

Everyone tell me what you think!

Is there anything new about TRC or any update from DEV?
I have just seen TRC being down more 25% on Cryptopia exchange.
Dev should have more marketing promotion for this coin or it will be down under 10sats.

I just posted this:

EDIT: Where would you suggest we market?

Other News

I submitted TRC to Bter but haven't heard anything back.  I will be submitting TRC to Bitsquare soon.

I just found out about this site: https://www.coinpayments.net/  Does anyone have any up to date info on it?  I read as much as I could on it and it seems pretty legit.  If it is legit then I think this should be our main goal.  Having the ability to spend TRC on real world items would jump us into the present!

Also there seems to be some confusion about the post by the guy with the username terracoin here on bitcointalk.  That post about closing up shop was made by the original developer of Terracoin.  He hasn't been actively developing Terracoin for at least 3 years.  I took over supporting TRC even before I started the Terracoin Foundation.  I used to post on Sourceforge to answer questions about Terracoin and I also took over modding the Terracoin subreddit.
After much discussion with other TRC enthusiast I decided to create The Terracoin Foundation so that TRC gets the development it deserves.
It was actually pretty awesome that the original developer logged into bitcointalk (which he hasn't been know to do before) and posted that he was closing down his outdated sourceforge, github (I grabbed the username), and other sites.  He even took the time to point terracoin.org at terracoin.info.  This is why I keep saying it is a good thing!

The price of TRC is probably getting pounded right now for two reasons.  One - People think the TRC Foundation has closed down, and Two - Bitcoin is worth a lot.

Let's do a quick give away of 1000 TRC each to the first 5 people with over a 100 twitter followers who tweet a me (Terracoin_TRC) and Cryptopia, Tradesatoshi, Poloniex, Bter, or Bitsquare that TRC is doing good.  You don't have to include all of them.  Just me and one of the exchanges.

Also we will soon need to pay mrbodz and possibly the merchant site, so please donate to the future!  Thanks everyone!

i could do android for 1 BTC but not anything else

How much to add some sort of anonymous transactions?

Not looked at any of the anon tech out there so couldnt give a price

Ahmed

We still need to decide which version of anonymous transactions we want to implement, so no big deal!  Does anyone have any opinions on the subject?

@mrbodz As for the Android wallet, let's hold off on that for a little bit.  How much for an Android wallet and an iOS wallet together?

I'm trying to come up with a list of monetary goals for the road map, and since I know you do good work it will help out.  Thanks, Ahmed!

The terracoin project is now officially closed.

repository, files, mailing lists, forums were deleted @sourceforge.net

github repositories and account were deleted (i guess account "terracoin" will be available soon).

DNS records were removed ; httpd virtual hosts were removed on all concerned hosts.

hub.docker.com images and links between repositories (automated builds) were also removed.

Good luck with your merged-mined fork Smiley

Oh .. and for the record, regarding the genesis block timestamp string : Stephanie was my little sister, she committed suicide, her body was found at her home on Friday March 6th 2009 @4PM. She was in her 30th year.

is it some kind of a joke or are you out of your mind?

That was the original MIA developer who was shutting down his outdated stuff.  It is good news!

i should be able to do an android wallet for around 2 BTC

Since BTC is so high right now, how about 1 BTC and will you throw in an iOS wallet as well?  Also can you give us a quote for adding some sort of anonymous transactions to the wallet.  There are three different types we have been looking at: Shadowcoin, Zcash and Monero.

EDIT: Mrbodz don't start work until we raise the money!!!!!

As a side note which has nothing to do with mrbodz offer

The guy who posted on this thread with the username of terracoin is the original developer.  His announcement that he closed down all of the services and sites that he used to maintain is a good thing (they were all outdated).  I appreciate the fact that he took the time to post on here, and even pointed terracoin.org towards terracoin.info.

We should thank him for creating Terracoin and making all of this possible, and not being upset that we took it over.

So thanks to the anonymous Terracoin creator!

Here are the six things that I have heard that we need to make Terracoin succeed.
Tell me if we are missing anything!

Get merchant services
Get on more exchanges
Add some sort of anonymous transactions
Mobile (Android) wallet
Form a not for profit for The Terracoin Foundation
Improve the website to be more useful and colorful (we need a FAQ with how to merge mine, etc)

Thanks!

guys, it's a bitcoin clone

It is a bitcoin clone!  We have done a variety of changes since the original bitcoin concept, such as a larger max money supply, a quicker block generation time (2 minutes), added merge mining and Dark Gravity Wave.  We are now looking towards the future for even better improvements for TRC.  Any suggestions are welcome.  Thanks for posting!

I just checked, my registrar charges me for domain xfer, even for owner change (did not notice that in 18 years, lol .. damn registrars/easy money makers) Sad
What i can do in the meantime is adding wildcard ns records pointing to your firewall/loadbalancer, including MX, and zone, so you're free to do whatever you want with the domain name.

Is 107.180.xx.xxx the actual host i should point records to, or are you using some NS-based site loadbalancing at godaddy/domaincontrol side ?

I'm making the change right now, using CNAME entries for the wildcard, so it will use the same machines as your current website.

Have fun.

EDIT : change applied, will be available on gandi nameservers within 15 minutes, and after ?? time @enduser side, according to their nameserver cache lifetime :

Quote
@ 10800 IN A 107.180.56.141
* 10800 IN CNAME terracoin.info.

@ 10800 IN MX 10 mail.terracoin.info.
@ 10800 IN MX 50 terracoin.info.

EDIT2 : update applied on the 3 gandi nameservers ; new queries will point to your host/loadbalancer.

Everything is currently just set up as a basic hosting package on Godaddy and I don't even use the email that comes with it.  Once I get a server I have up and running I plan on changing were things are pointed.  The name servers are:

NS33.DOMAINCONTROL.COM
NS34.DOMAINCONTROL.COM

Thanks for all the help!

I have a back order on terracoin.org, but it won't apply till terracoin.org has expired on your registrar.  Can you transfer that to me, or sell it to me?  Thanks!

Thanks for doing that!  The confusion between the two has been a concern for a while.  If you ever want to join The Terracoin Foundation feel free to send me a PM on here.

Sorry to hear about your sister.  Her memory will be in the blockchain forever!
