Thanks for your reply, I suppose if your starting point is 2 and you see some occasional 3 that would be 'up', however that would be an extremely distorted picture of reality, let's start with this snap shot:
I don't know if it shows the whole picture, but it certainly shows all that is available via Mintpal.
In it we see, a starting point of 2 that went to a high of 4, as the days pasted the value grew to 10, then a few more days later it grew as high as 16, then from there it has nose-dived to 1 and 2 only to occasionally peek/peak at 3 or 4.
What is the short-term action plan (1 month) to get the value of TOP up and over 10 again? Keep in mind that whatever was the old story to get you where you got to 10 the first time should not be recycled, because apparently that is now old news.
You want to get on Cryptsy, what has TOP's performance been since it's acceptance on other exchanges? Do you feel you have outgrown those exchanges?
I see the volume, that is good but it is heavily concentrated below 10, as if those who seek to sell want to sell NOW, whatever the price.
In short, TOP is not ready for cryptsy, and and is in jeopardy of being delisted from mintpal if the performance continues in that direction, you may think its ONLY about the money, but it's actually about performance. Everyone wants a winner, and no one wants to be known for hosting losers.
You got a big opportunity with Mintpal make it shine, make Cryptsy want to contact you because of TOP performance -- don't call yourself TOP while performing at the bottom.
No more excuses, make your opportunity at Mintpal count.
No problem, and thank you for the response as well. First of all, these aren't excuses that I'm providing, simply painting the picture for anyone who is interested. The chart shows nearly the ENTIRE life of Topcoin. It was created on 2/2/14, and was accepted on Mintpal pretty quick among other exchanges. We experienced one big pump on Mintpal which you noted, and there were some folks who came out winners, some losers - we all know how pump and dumps work, right? Similar things happen to coins that hit Cryptsy (funny I should mention this, eh?) - they get the initial boost of reaching a larger crowd, and then usually come back down to earth. Some keep going down, some correct and level out or continue going up. Personally, and this is just my opinion, I would kind of like to stay near the top of Crypsty's coin list, but I am wishy washy about being listed there - simply for what I just covered in this paragraph.
What is our short-term action plan? To get above 10 in 1 month? I highly doubt that will happen... and I've never promised that to anyone, for that matter. As I stated before, we will have very slow and steady growth because of miners who are simply burning TOP when they deem it necessary to either cash out or invest in other coins. To think that isn't happening, would clearly be madness, but I have faith in our growth as a 2 month old coin and community. We're better than some that have been around for MUCH longer. But that is all a matter of opinion, is it not? Anyway, short term... I have been working with a team of fellow community members (I am not an original dev, I came from the community) and we are brainstorming and scoping out some projects for Topcoin. We are going to work on improving our marketplace at Top Swap, coordinating some marketing campaigns, securing new talent to help develop, and I have a pet project that may or may not be ready in the 1 month time-frame. All of these things will be transparent and up for community comments and suggestions - they are listed here on our reddit wiki, I just marked two completed items off the list...
http://www.reddit.com/r/topcoin/wiki/indexThroughout all of these projects, our dev has been right there to assist us in every way possible. We know we can trust him and the team he has behind him, as they have not failed us once. I don't completely agree with the decision to push for Cryptsy right now, but it is nice that we can have differences of opinions and work through them without any issues. If we get added, awesome... I'm prepared to help in any way I can to make that a positive thing. If we don't for a while, then I get my way and will still be prepared to help in the interim.
Some will still sell, regardless of our plans and our dedication to executing them. Shrug, not much I can do except keep working for those who decide to stick around for the long haul. Hopefully I've helped answer some of your questions... and if I missed anything, please let me know. Thanks for being polite and sharing your comments/questions... I really enjoy a good conversation and fresh insights
