What are the chances of partnering with any of the hundreds of pre-established online or Android gaming apps? For instance, letting users "gamble" with TOP instead of the fictitious house casino money?

I understand that legality becomes an issue at some point, but if bitcoin technically isn't money, then neither is topcoin. And there's the issue of whatever casino game has to make a substantial purchase of TOP in order to fund the house...

Seems like this would be a good way to get the word out.

Hey all, I'll be on a business trip starting tomorrow and will be back on Thursday, May 1st.  I'm sure topdude will be around to answer any questions, but my time will be very limited.  I will try to get back to you as soon as possible.

I also wanted to share that I've been averaging from 85,000 to 170,000 TOP per day by mining at http://hashco.ws using a single 600kh/s rig Smiley

Mine now while you can still get that many, as price goes up the coins per day will decrease.  Have a good week everyone! Grin

tyke, I like the idea, when you said "book" is this physical, and if so how many CCs will be featured, and will this be the first edition?

50 coins will feature which are on bitcointalk at "cryptocurrency "the alt-ernative"". Topcoin reached the top 50 after the poll vote. I am working on publishing a first edition. These two pages for TOP will look more compact and informative very soon Smiley

What have you published in the past?
What are your deadlines for content contributions?

This is my first publication towards which I am working very hard.  I work full time.  I am confident that I will be publishing it by this summer.

CRYPTOCURRENCY "THE ALT-ERNATIVE" REFERENCE BOOK

I have written the two preliminary pages for Topcoin TOP.  I need help from the Topcoin Community in order fully complete it.  I want important points included.  Any further suggestions are welcome.  Please consider donating towards the future publication of the book.  I expect it to be published in the summer.

crymzyn, I'd like to know who make up the leadership for Topcoin?   What I mean by leadership is:

1) those who feel comfortable referring to themselves in that way,
2) those who are recognized by others as a Topcoin leader,
and or
3) those who are provided with a leadership title,

I have some ideas for the cryptocurrency that will likely increase its overall value.

Sure, no problem... As far as I know, it is myself and topdude.  There are a few others that have been helping, but not sure if they are taking leadership roles - definitely a few that I would like to see fill those shoes.  Certainly would love to hear your ideas, and possibly you can join us in executing them Smiley

Shoot us a PM and we'll go from there.

Thanks for your reply, I suppose if your starting point is 2 and you see some occasional 3  that would be 'up', however that would be an extremely distorted picture of reality, let's start with this snap shot:

I don't know if it shows the whole picture, but it certainly shows all that is available via Mintpal.

In it we see, a starting point of 2 that went to a high of 4, as the days pasted the value grew to 10, then a few more days later it grew as high as 16, then from there it has nose-dived to 1 and 2 only to occasionally peek/peak at 3 or 4.

What is the short-term action plan (1 month) to get the value of TOP up and over 10 again?  Keep in mind that whatever was the old story to get you where you got to 10 the first time should not be recycled, because apparently that is now old news.

You want to get on Cryptsy, what has TOP's performance been since it's acceptance on other exchanges?  Do you feel you have outgrown those exchanges?

I see the volume, that is good but it is heavily concentrated below 10, as if those who seek to sell want to sell NOW, whatever the price.

In short, TOP is not ready for cryptsy, and and is in jeopardy of being delisted from mintpal if the performance continues in that direction, you may think its ONLY about the money, but it's actually about performance.  Everyone wants a winner, and no one wants to be known for hosting losers.

You got a big opportunity with Mintpal make it shine, make Cryptsy want to contact you because of TOP performance -- don't call yourself TOP while performing at the bottom.

No more excuses, make your opportunity at Mintpal count.

No problem, and thank you for the response as well.  First of all, these aren't excuses that I'm providing, simply painting the picture for anyone who is interested.  The chart shows nearly the ENTIRE life of Topcoin.  It was created on 2/2/14, and was accepted on Mintpal pretty quick among other exchanges.  We experienced one big pump on Mintpal which you noted, and there were some folks who came out winners, some losers - we all know how pump and dumps work, right?  Similar things happen to coins that hit Cryptsy (funny I should mention this, eh?) - they get the initial boost of reaching a larger crowd, and then usually come back down to earth.  Some keep going down, some correct and level out or continue going up.  Personally, and this is just my opinion, I would kind of like to stay near the top of Crypsty's coin list, but I am wishy washy about being listed there - simply for what I just covered in this paragraph.

What is our short-term action plan?  To get above 10 in 1 month?  I highly doubt that will happen...  and I've never promised that to anyone, for that matter.  As I stated before, we will have very slow and steady growth because of miners who are simply burning TOP when they deem it necessary to either cash out or invest in other coins.  To think that isn't happening, would clearly be madness, but I have faith in our growth as a 2 month old coin and community.  We're better than some that have been around for MUCH longer.  But that is all a matter of opinion, is it not?  Anyway, short term...  I have been working with a team of fellow community members (I am not an original dev, I came from the community) and we are brainstorming and scoping out some projects for Topcoin.  We are going to work on improving our marketplace at Top Swap, coordinating some marketing campaigns, securing new talent to help develop, and I have a pet project that may or may not be ready in the 1 month time-frame.  All of these things will be transparent and up for community comments and suggestions - they are listed here on our reddit wiki, I just marked two completed items off the list... http://www.reddit.com/r/topcoin/wiki/index

Throughout all of these projects, our dev has been right there to assist us in every way possible.  We know we can trust him and the team he has behind him, as they have not failed us once.  I don't completely agree with the decision to push for Cryptsy right now, but it is nice that we can have differences of opinions and work through them without any issues.  If we get added, awesome...  I'm prepared to help in any way I can to make that a positive thing.  If we don't for a while, then I get my way and will still be prepared to help in the interim.

Some will still sell, regardless of our plans and our dedication to executing them.  Shrug, not much I can do except keep working for those who decide to stick around for the long haul.  Hopefully I've helped answer some of your questions...  and if I missed anything, please let me know.  Thanks for being polite and sharing your comments/questions...  I really enjoy a good conversation and fresh insights Smiley

I'm confused, if the value is nose diving on MintPal, why would you think it would you think it would be attractive to Cryptsy or anyone else (even mintpal if they didn't already have it)?

Please enlighten me as to the process of selection other than the monetary incentive.

thanks

Value of the coin makes no difference, exchanges makes money based on the amount of trades.

The value isnt nose diving. its actually going up, most of the dumpers have already dumped, and they cant get more unless the buy or multipool at hashcows

Please explain what "actually going up" means to you?  Because I don't see any upward momentum only a lot of enthusiasm (represented by volume) to have the opportunity to buy lower than the next guy.

What is the motivation to buy higher if you could buy 30 - 50% lower if you simply wait a few minutes?    It's now at 2.5 Satoshi, likely will be 1 Sat in two days, when that is bought out, what happen then, common sense says it hit rock bottom and must go up, but that isn't true.  It simply means an end to the BTC tie, so it simply goes to LTC and keeps going down as long as people think there is a future for the coin.

Please explain how the CC actually (as defined and understood by most people) goes up in value.  Or if it is easier for you, please explain why it would stop going down in value?

thanks

We were bouncing between 1 to 2 satoshi for quite a while, so the notch up to 2 to 3, even small... is indeed an increase.  It has proven to be a slow climb from the start, simply because of the sheer amount of coins that have been mined - nearly all 11.52 billion.  I'm sure there are plenty of people who will dump their mined TOP once they reach their exit point, so we will probably see this at all levels of value.  However, if we continue building the coin, community, and purpose, then the lower sell walls could easily evaporate with stronger hands realizing the potential for higher growth.

The community and devs have been focused and active, bringing new things to Topcoin consistently.  Sure, we could head back down for a bit, but I just don't see it happening.
