Anyone receiving coins from mining?

Ive been mining on https://trtl.mine2gether.com/

Havent received a single coin to my wallet yet...

I think there may have been a bit of a glitch at trtl.mine2gether.com. I re-started mining after the fork, received a payout then nothing for ages (should be about 500 every payment), then suddenly a 2500 drop of TRTL turned up in my wallet.

The TurtleCoin network faced at least three attacks in the last few days and the result on https://trtl.mine2gether.com/ was that almost all blocks were orphaned. Then after some time after the system came back to normal and big payments were made.

I wonder if this maybe the reason TurtleCoin was dropped from the list of Cryptonight (and Cryptonight variant) coins from this handy dandy calculator..

I just upgraded my daemon and wallet.

In the new version (linux cli) even if we specify the wallet path and file (--wallet-file=) we still get this menu:

Code:
Welcome, please choose an option below:

        [G] - Generate a new wallet address
[O] - Open a wallet already on your system
[S] - Regenerate your wallet using a seed phrase of words
[I] - Import your wallet using a View Key and Spend Key
[V] - Import a view only wallet (Unable to send transactions)

Don't know if I miss something but otherwise this need to be fixed.

This has been fixed in master: https://github.com/turtlecoin/turtlecoin/pull/137

Does turtle coin will do asic resistant hard fork, like monero and sumo coin ??

Turtlecoin is due to fork at block 350000 which is expected to be around April 15th when the algorithm will change to "CN-Lite Variant 1".
There was a list of which miners will support this new algo but I've lost the link.
A good start is it change to the new wallet.. https://github.com/turtlecoin/turtle-wallet-xamarin/releases/tag/1.0.6666.17114

Some info that may be usefull:

Seems like a nice coin.
It is easy to mine and the pool that I use ("mine2gether" or something like that...) is very efficent.
Payments come in regularly, every 20 minutes or so.
I am using the Nest wallet and once it is synchronized, it works quite well.
I moved some few 100k TURTLE to Tradeogre without any issues.
Also the exchange allows to trade the Turtles for bitcoins at will.
All this sound smooth and indeed it is.

Although, at the moment, and correct me if I am wrong, the Turtle is practically pegged to Bitcoin and any valuation in USD is only virtual, since you cannot exchange it to USD or USDT directly.
So for what I could see, you can exchange the Turtle for a fixed price (0.00000001) to BTC, it does not really change over time and then you can eventually change BTC to FIAT at the value of BTC relative to the FIAT you want in exchange.
So the 11 USD per 100.000 Turtle that appears sometimes in the mining calculators, actually never happens.
It is more like price of 1 BTX divided by 1000. So at current BTC prices is more in the 6 to 8 dollars range.
Which makes TURTLE as not as profitable as it is claimed, it is more in line of mining to NiceHash, yet with NiceHash you get your bitcoins directly to your wallet.

If someone has a better way of doing all the iteration to convert to FIAT, is very welcome to explain!   Smiley

I do not mind to hold some turtles at all, it seems an efficent project that has good chances of success, but converting them to FIAT efficently and profitably is key. Since I am mining them, there is a cost involved that need to be covered and can only be paid in FIAT.

Cheers.

Is everything OK with network?
Yesterday evening I sent 5 transactions (100k turtles per transaction) from my wallet to my Tradeogre account. Nothing arrived. Prior of sending I checked the Tradeogre TRTL account, it was online.

TurtleCoin v 0.4.2 is now released!
https://github.com/turtlecoin/turtlecoin/releases/tag/v0.4.2

The most important changes in this release are a move to 'walletgreen' wallet format for simplewallet (so that wallet format and code is consistent with walletd, which already used walletgreen) and the move to Cryponight Lite Variant 1 hashing algorithm (which will take affect at block 350,000) to circumvent recently released Cryptonight ASIC miners.

Big thanks to ZedPea, JerMe404, DeerTacos, Ereptor,Cryptonote Developers, Bytecoin Developers, Forknote Project, TurtleCoin Community and others for their contributions!

Enjoy.
