THis is just a total clone of QQcoin ?? what is the point of it? 100% clone of it
Yet based on how hard a time I am having mining this... i would say quite a number of people were looking for a coin like this...

I do not agree, at least make coins with innovation, QQ coin was already out and now this is exactly the same but slower ? its a slower version of QQ coin that is all.
Well, there is at least one big difference:
"Blocks 25,001-250,000 -20 Block Reward
Blocks 250,001-500,000 -15 Block Reward
Blocks 500,001-750,000 -10 Block Reward
Blocks 750,001-2,000,000 -5 Block Reward
Blocks 2,000,001 + -2 Block Reward"
Dev: How is this negative block reward handled? Where do these coins go?

ok - got 3 Accepts but coins appear momentarily and then gone! Why would that be? This is my velocitycoin.conf when third accept occurred:

can you solo cpu and gpu mine at the same time through the same wallet?
Sure.
Just set your cpuminer to low priority or it will kill cpu latency and slow the gpu miner down.
im using -
setgenerate true 3
to save some cpu power for the gpu using 4 threads slows it down.
getting 1.7 mh/s on the gpu and 77162 hashespersec on the cpu

Sure.

so... "addnode" is not a legitimate command and the author is providing no nodes for mining. Looks like the first couple people might have got a connection and now everybody else is SOL. Can we consider this coin trash already?

I guess you're one of the lucky ones who connected on first try. Too bad you'll probably never find a block now that people with actual rigs are on-board.
I don't have any addnode assignments in my .conf and I have 23 connections to the Velocitycoin network. Maybe open up port 21333 on your router?
