I think blockchain will really be utilized by this project because people can track where their food is coming from and if it's safe.

Vfarm will also enables ecosystem users to not only have total traceability of the produce on food safety but also drive social impact via informed choices on their purchases.
With all of those being said, I want to ask who would be the ecosystem participants? and with all the necessities needed to implement vertical farming on the blockchain, it ain't automating every activities easier, it just adds up the labor and luxury just to integrate with the technology. How VFarm helps people with the use of blockchain? It's confusing coz a farmer now need to know all about IoT than to just farm on his own.

VFarm has commenced the build on the first farm in the golden triangle of Kuala Lumpur in May 2019, and is expected to yield the first batch of crops by the end of August 2019. The first farm is designed to produce 20 tonnes of crops monthly which will be marketed through contract farming. Contract farming is a mode of procurement over a period of time for specified types of vegetables. It is usually entered with hoteliers / convention centre. Hope this answers your question.

Is this based on Ethereum blockchain? Or it has it's own technology? Don't REALLY understand.

VFT is a fully ERC20 compliant token

Why is it such a big deal for the community if a small part of the whitepaper was copied somewhere?

We totally understand the community in regards to that but again, we appreciate it being brought forward to our attention.

Glad to see that the project fixed (other speaking - put reference link to content origin) their whitepaper.
Good luck with your project.

It was an oversight on our part. We really appreciate the community pointing that out   Smiley

I see, looking forward to an announcement/update once you guys get the first batch of crops this month. That's where we can see if vertical farming is effective or not.

Are there restrictions in place restricting certain residents of a country to participate on your fund raising?

Yes. Residents of Malaysia, Singapore and United States of America are restricted to participate.

How about digital currencies that you will accept in the fundraising?
No fiat currency is accepted. Only ETH, BTC, Ripple and LTC.

Planning on doing the  sale on an exchange for easier processing?

There are no such plans at the moment.
