This indian guy seems to lie about viorcoins its just 1 case reported so far I think he is purposely doing this.
I have the wallet I scanned it and I think its safe there is no virus threat or malware.
that is why Bittrex is requesting court order in each such case.
It is very hard to tell who is telling the truth and who is not, having just the scarce evidence we have so far, and thus, any definite statement such as that above should be avoided. In any case users have to be extremely careful upon uploading any new wallet, as this indeed, may cost them all their funds they have stored locally.
On the other hand, we should try to avoid hysteria, luckily there were only few cases (mostly Opal coin was affected) and trading/bussiness may continue as normal.

what "court order" means? And do we know what it takes for the bittrex to open again the market?

how does someone on OSX update the wallet?

You have to wait until I release OSX wallet. Just don't send any coins using the old wallet.

It seems the recent attack originated from OPAL thread.
ATTENTION PLEASE READ ASAP

We found that a user (diabanhxeo ID# 210031) posted a malicious post which included links to a hacked version of our wallet. This wallet installed a backdoor on some users computers which in turn stole their wallet.dat files from multiple coins. Through checking him out, we see he has posted many links to other coins's wallets, which we assume are also malicious.

If you downloaded the latest windows wallet from this thread, that was part of a reply and not our original post. Please scan your computer now for malware. Only download the wallet from our website opal-coin.com and not any other links in the thread. The source of the wallet should only be from "wallets.opal-coin.com" and no other domain.

We apologize for any inconvenience. We are dedicated to our community.

Thanks,

The Opal Team

Download and run anti malware on your computer
https://www.malwarebytes.org/

For now,  it's only 1 reported case, Bittrex can't confirm the hacker address without a court order   Undecided

Oh fuck!! So everyones getting robbed!!!! Am about to throw this PC out of the window!
I am so fucking pissed off man. Its not the money...but someone robbing me gives me hangover!!!!

Try to do this, I'm not on my work area to check the malware link.

Be careful guys you are all infected if you got the last wallet (edit: only the one posted by diabanhxeo)

I analysed the wallet.

Block this ip and port 212.7.208.87:5604

Kill the process csrss.exe (the one you can kill)
then directly windchp.exe

after it delete the startup key using "msconfig" (using cmd)

and delete file here: C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Roaming\Windows\DCHP\ HERE IS MALWARES

The OPAL hacker posted on this thread too.

Hi guys,

I just came home and want to install the new wallet but i have 5000 coins reserved for staking at the moment.. Should i wait until the stake is matured?

If you care enough about the stake amount you will be receiving you should.  Cheesy

I would just update my wallet.
