F*CK WHALES!
All,

I've seen lot's of support for WC through this forum and I'd like to help out.

I'm in the top 70 investors of WC (www.richlist.eu/whitecoin), which I've seen drop in value massively, so this is a long game for me.

What can I do to help?
happy to see someone like you in this community.

Another logo for the contest (already submitted)
[...]
Idea behind this one will be posted on the submissions page Wink

This looks amazing at this size, however what will it look like at the sizes we mostly see the logo, on the wallet, exchanges etc.?

Thanks! And I agree Smiley If this logo is still in the top4 at the end of the first voting round, I'll create an array of smaller ones (512x512 to 16x16), each as clear as possible to do the logo justice and keep it readable.

Tick tock, time is running out and I'm not talking about this two week long logo contest  Roll Eyes

I made tons of posts about the major flaws of WC and stressed urgency. This coin has about 2-3 days left before its completely done. Yes I mean it. I sadly feel we are past the point of no return.

I couldn't disagree more Ownski. We have an incredibly motivated team that is constantly working on new approaches to promote the coin, and we're in the process of becoming a real legal entity. WhiteCoin is not a short term pump, it's a long term investment based around a real plan that will take time to implement properly. As the good news about WhiteCoin continues to mount, we will only continue to improve.

We are a top 100 marketcap/volume coin, and the only coin that is truly community driven. I encourage you to join our volunteers if you have concerns.

I want Whitecoin to be successful just as much as everyone else but we have to face the cold hard facts. We are literally 1 BTC away from not even being listed on mintpals main page. I thought 40BTC volume was bad we are now less than a tenth of that. It doesn't matter how good the development team is if no one wants to buy your product. There are enough different "Whitecoin" websites that it can confuse even the most veteran of crypto investors. Honestly I can keep going on and on but complaining isn't gonna fix anything. What WC needed was a unified image with a dedicated central website. So far we barely made progress. I mean it took almost a week to update this main page in this thread. I respect what your doing and everyone who has contributed but we are slowly turning into the laughing stock of crypto.

I disagree. I understand you are more "short term trading" oriented by our price has stabilized. We seized control from the original devs which means that the confused messaging thing is an issue for the short term. I've noticed before that you have a tendency to make the error of assuming that our long term success is directly tied to short term market fluctuations.

I think you have very unrealistic expectations for how long it actually takes people to accomplish a massive todo list. The foundation has accomplished a great deal since it came together, including:

1. Consulting with the community to seize control from the original devs.
2. Forking the coin and providing an update to fix PoS (all using peer review as an adhoc team).
3. Creating a rebranding strategy and carefully executing it according to a schedule.
4. Providing a 2nd wallet update.
5. Work has begun on a 3rd wallet update.
6. Addition of games.
7. Fundraising initiatives to pay our devs.
8. Creation of a community driven website.
9. Drafting of the whitecoin paper, laying out a compeltely unique approach in crypto.
10. Creating a functioning committee structure.
11. Recruited and appointed a Director of Operations, Chief Technology Officer, and Director of Communications (Oizopower, Mindfox, and Birddog respectively).
12. Hours upon hours of legal research regarding founding as an association (nearly complete, name reservation process has begun)
13. Work on holding our first general assembly has been ongoing.
14. Drafting association bylaws for public review has been ongoing.
15. Logo contest underway and nearing the voting phase.
16. Op completely redesigned from scratch with new graphics (this was a 20 hour+ job, for the record)
17. IRL investor outreach has been ongoing.
18. Mainstream media outreach has been ongoing with significant progress made (keep your eye out for this one).
19. Implementing a format for community consultation and democratic decision making.

That's what's off the top of my head, and that's what the foundation has accomplished in less than a month.

This is all very very good new and it is amazing you much you guys have done in such a short period.

I would say though all devs, marketing basically everyone involved should be paid and fully invested in WC. This creates much more motivation to see the coin succeed.

WC is doing great but is way below it's fair price.

Also the community needs to become way more involved and help more.

ROI projects are key to this.

Thanks for submitting, they will make the choice if they will let your logo go true for the competition. Why the F didn't the color change I made of a logo didn't go true? Not really a fair contest then

I gave all the probs to the creator

Hey CryptoMan2014!

The creator of the logo was flattered at the enthusiasm about his submission and said that as there is a 24hr "tweaking/adjustment" period before the final round, if his logo was selected as one of the Top 4, colors/tones or other modifications would be taken under consideration at that time!

In a few hours we will be adding commenting for each logo which means that if people have feedback they would like to provide or other suggestions, they can all be captured and reviewed under the coin by clicking a comment button associated with each coin!

Update regarding our progress on registering as an association in Canada

Hello Whitecoiners,

I've been hard at work doing research and talking to various government departments to see us founded as a fully recognized association in Canada, with all the benefits that come with it. There are some requirements for founding as an association with the word "foundation" in the name, all of which we will be able to meet. In fact, I'm happy to report that in Nova Scotia (the jurisdiction we're looking at founding in), the representatives I've spoken with have all been quite excited about our efforts. There are ongoing discussions as to which type of association or group we should register as, and we're getting great advice both legally and from the government representatives I've been speaking with.

It's been recommended that we reach out directly to the Minister of Finance's office here in Nova Scotia before finalizing this process, and I've started that process today. I look forward to presenting a full report on our progress in this regard in the next week.

Some of you are probably wondering, what are the benefits of registration? Here are a few:

  • We will be obligated to hold an Annual General Meeting (yes, in real life). An annual WhiteCoin Cypto Conference!
  • We will have access to applying for grants and tax benefits for holding such a conference
  • Tax benefits for when we begin our charitable mandate
  • Legitimacy in the eyes of the public
  • Legitimacy in the eyes of the mainstream media

Look out WhiteCoiners, because when we register as a full foundation we will be using that marketing agency's massive mainstream media press release list. And when that happens, you can expect a response.

Best regards,

Chris Salsman

Acting President

The WhiteCoin Foundation

Great news!

Thanks Chris
