Noob to the forum here (well, I've been reading it on and off for quite a while now - so not a total noob I guess). Thought I'd share my design ideas for whitecoin - I'm a graphic designer by trade so thought I'd chip in - anything to help make the coin a success! Let me know your thoughts or if you'd like to see any amends.

Cheers
Nate

best imo

Please change the logo to this now. This is MUCH better. As good as Blackcoin's IMO and really captures the "White" theme.

looks like there's a temporary pause in the selling of WC. sellers getting tired of clicking the sell button repetitively throughout the day Tongue

Not enough buyers to combat the multipool bots, so why try alone?  Everyone is holding their coins.  I love it.

It's only low from non-human influence.   But, nobody is budging.

Stability. Love it.

Well, it's a much needed resting period from all that selling. Queue the spectators calling floor even though they have absolutely no idea where the floor will be. I sure hope waffle ends up allowing a 50/50 payout system in the near future. It will surely help alleviate the problems with their current system of excessive and frequent dumping of alts.

Absolute newbie here, I don't even own a single BTC.

That being said I'm really trying to learn about crytocurrencies, trading, etc. Somebody just asked what's the direct effect that the end of mining would have on the coin. I'm also interested in knowing the experts answer to that. Thanks in advance.

Right now a million coins are mined per hour until the total coins are found. That's PoW or distribution phase. When it stops no new coins are created. So the only way to get coins will be to buy them. The selling will not come from miners who need to dump the market go convert to bitcoin to pay their power consumption and take profits of their own.

Except that the majority of coins mined are auto dumped immediately by the large pools. They make up for the majority of coins sold during the mining phase.

Large pools dumping is letting more people buy in cheaply though. They might still be dumping a week after pow ends though. I know a lot of people think that after pow phase ends the price will skyrocket. It will take a few weeks at least for the effects to be seen.

So many people in here are too anxious. Those are the weak hands, they'll sell too cheap because they always do. It's that born to lose mentality.

Currently, the coin is mineable for 2.5 more days.  Right now, at least 50% of the hashpower is being provided by multipools that immediately sell the coin on an exchange and exchange it for BTC or BC or whatever they pay out their members in.  So currently, there is a major selling pressure from these pools.  When mining ends, there will be a multipool option that does the same thing but pays out in whitecoin.  Thus, all the other coins they mine will be sold on exchanges and whitecoin will be purchased.  As there are no more coins being dumped by other multipools onto the exchange, the only coins available will be ones people are willing to sell from their own stash.

As long as the Multipool is large enough, the buying support typically will drive the price of the coin up, in theory.  If more people decide to dump it then the mining pool can buy in a given day (or other people interested in owning it), then the price will go down.  But in either case, there is no new coins being created, thus no mining profit sell pressure.

Ohh lord... The amount of people saying they have a good feeling about being all in and then asking when mining ends. It's a million coins an hour until then how can people admit their blindness they are buying one of the biggest and longest continuous dumps ever seen.

That said, screaming buy when it's over (weds/thurs)
