I agree. Why kill off a coin that is not even matured yet, to create a completely different coin in its place? Just leave V1 alone and make V2 separate... And have an exchange where people can trade between them freely, none of this set price bullshit where we all know the real price will decrease from the original set price.

We are still solving blocks and client works fine for v1... Pretty sad you guys can't come up with a new coin name. Just stealing the name for your own use's. Thats like making Mcdonaldsv2 and it not being owned by the same people. You could have called it WeAreSatoshi X11 and Id have more respect for it.
We didn't come along and steal it... the WAS community reached out to us and asked for help in reviving the coin. After much public discussion and in full cooperation with the original WAS dev MrBrew we came up with a plan of action and executed it.
The main 2 reasons we had to do a v2 are:
1) Saturation of the market with billions of coins holding the value down,
2) People wanted Proof of Stake; which is very, very hard to retrofit into an existing codebase.
Don't worry about him. He can keep his version 1 tucked away as a worthless coin.
