Big volume and price movement on AltQuick this week.  Over .89 BTC traded up to a price of 0.00000298 BTC. https://altquick.com/exchange/market/Wownero

Sold my Wownero way low and for a loss, RIP.  Tongue

I like grin too, and we still got 50 years to change to tail if we want. Wownero is capped because it launched as kind of a parody of monerov. If you're interested I think I talk about it in all of the interviews I've done about wow.

Hello,

Do you really think that tail emission is inflationary? Currently, Wownero with its slow emission curve produces more inflation, despite having a maximum number of units, than any other project that has adopted tail emission.

And above all, what advantage does constraining emission have apart from creating hype?

The limit on the number of units, just like a very aggressive emission curve (like BTC's), I've always seen them as a "marketing" system to artificially promote initial hoarding, apparent scarcity over time, speculation, and rapid adoption of a project, but it doesn't really offer an advantage (beyond purely speculative) to either the user or the monetary system being created.

Wownero is a step forward from Monero, precisely because of its very gentle emission, which eliminates the "need" to propose a tail emission "too soon" and doesn't automatically turn "early adopters" into whales who play with the price in crazy ways... but on the contrary, its "gentler" emission curve is anything but deflationary.

Moreover, in my view, the ideal cryptocurrency should have a linear emission (someone mentioned Grin). It may seem, at first, terribly inflationary, but over time, it becomes increasingly limited, until (in decades) it becomes practically deflationary.

It's like CPU mining, which is the perfect system, if it weren't for being always overshadowed by GPU, FGPA, ASICs, producing either a turning point in its hashrate or adopting a new algorithm that is theoretically resistant.

I know there was a stray sheep that played with these parameters in the "Lolnero" fork, which was widely misunderstood, and even with its "failure," I always felt it was "the right path."

Depends on your hashrate. For normal computer now you can probably expect about a block per week or two.

In the interim more needs to be unleashed to knock off the railing mouths behind ur back. More input on whats to come. Mountains are shaking from my stepping on them with unwashed feet of unhealthy color sticking out of flared up pantaloons like bulky lintels. I have my presence established and my voice is heard across the vast swathe of area. The reason I am here already means a lot for those who are allowed to understand whats going on.

What's to come?

Hello folks! Long time.

I had ran my wallet from time to time with v0.10.1.0 until I found out last night that there have been several updates and a hard fork to boot (been out of the loop). I updated to the current v0.11.0.3 but my wallet now crashes with a warning in red within a fraction of a second before it closes. It says, "Error: failed to load wallet: std::bad_alloc." It also created a "my_wallet_name.unportable" file in the binary/wallet folder. Did I miss a step? What do I need to do to get my wallet working again? Confession: I am very CLI-challenged so a step-by-step instruction would be appreciated. It was hard to catch with Print Screen on W10 but I finally got lucky after many attempts:

LocalMonero and Agoradesk have added WOW trading pairs! They also have apps with WOW pairs!
Let's goooooooo!

I told them to. 2 much merit was lost on these two, with constant goading and prodding having been spent on them since forever they have been reluctant to accept the pairs. It would have lasted until infinity if I had not bullied them. I had car parts on craig list, had to turn down any offers and ship the parts to these two smack shacks. In exchange for parts they added the pairs. If u ask them they will snub this information.

Well... Let's try to support them and get some liquidity on there now that they've added I think

Cool project but slow blocktime.

I don't think fast block time makes sense for proof of work coins in general, but especially if there's not a lot of usage then you are just mining empty blocks increasing blockchain size for now reason really.

Cool project but slow blocktime. I'm gathering more of these. I see potential here. I like all the Monero hardforks, Masari and WOW are my two favorite. I need to buy more of these both. Will stay aware and active
