Regardless of privacy tech, I think the completion of the wyvern exchange should be top priority. Coin works fine as is for the time being.

So, I was thinking the other day: WYV could use a slight rebranding. I believe being a gaming-centric coin narrows the scope of this coin and what it offers too much, especially if decentralized governance can be implemented. The logo and brand are great, but I and many others are turned off by the idea of investing into "yet another" gaming coin. I'd prefer to see WYV take the privacy-centric/decentralized governance path in the near future. Any thoughts on this? It wouldn't be a big rebranding, just a slight rejiggering.

That idea just feels so bad, sorry. We already have big privacy coins - Monero and Verge for example. I personally like the idea about using Wyvern in Steam and it actually is the only thing why I think this coin will succeed...if this coin is branded for something else, I am out then. Make a good game coin out of this and it will be success...

Which other gaming-focused coins are you thinking of? The closest equivalent to the Wyvern Exchange in development or production now that I know of is DMarket, which is in the middle of some complicated multi-phase ICO. Their public development roadmap is pretty vague, but anything they can do with an Ethereum token we can do with Wyvern (which could even be pegged to an ERC20 token in the future using TrueBit or equivalent).

In general, I'm open to the concept of a rebranding if another, more useful developmental direction exists, but not on a whim - so can you be more specific as to what kind of privacy technology and decentralized governance you'd like to see and why?

Protinam has said that he intends to focus on zcash tech for this coin for private transactions. I'm not sure when that is going to be implemented but I think it is a great idea.

Network has definitely been more stable. Look forward to the new website!

Btw, would appreciate binary releases for the latest versions.

Sure; binary releases are quite possible, I can set up build infrastructure. Which platform - Windows?

Ideally, Windows, macOS and Linux. Keeps everyone happy Smiley

watching this project closely for quite some time.I see a good commmunity here.
It's a great project, tons of potential if it is in the right hands (Which I believe it is now). Finally managed to buy up some wyv, just took longer than i thought

I think it could be really good for us to start a new ann. The original dev is gone and there is no way to update the OP with new information.

I will do so next week when I have more time (I'm somewhat picky, being a UI designer and all).

Since XLR moves to xevan algo,   the WYV will be the only one who uses nist5.   Cool
There is at least Namocoin. Maybe some more.
