I cannot seem to find a good reason for xel to stay down. Its been doing those 1400 1500 1600 sats bottom everytime it went up. There is always a breakdown and back to 1500 sats again.

We need positive news, exposure, mass adoption, PR campaigns, tweets from every stakeholders

Unfortunately, Elastic has little to none exposure, like 3 exchanges of which 1 is a twin of Bittrex, Bittrex itself being not so popular recently, and Stellar to which you can't even deposit XEL

Fortunately, you can do your part and vote for Elastic to get listed on various exchanges. Just use the links below:
Coinex: https://www.coinex.com/vote/project?id=10
Polo: https://m.poloniex.com/coinRequest
Yobit: https://yobit.net/en/addcoin/
Scrypto: https://scrypto.io/s/scryptonews/?contentId=27512

Now, stop whining, take action

Bittrex is good.

Right /s
Except they shut down withdrawals without any info, and then forcing users to verify in order to get money back

That's centralized exchanges and that's how things are in crypto in 2018. I don't like it either but it's not just bittrex.
All big exchanges have KYC nowadays and they use the same tactic, because, lets face it, if they leave it to the users discretion, nobody was gonna verify their info.

Anyway, when I said good I meant it's more than enough. Bittrex is certainly not holding XEL back. On the contrary, we had it right from the start, listed without paying a fee etc.

Step 1 towards writing guidelines about success: doing proper research which includes at least reading the last two pages of a thread in order to find out that you've been obviously visiting a wrong URL.

mhmmm
while some people may see this project as flawed and inexplicably popular, I feel like this is the one that's gonna make us a ton of money in the long run. There's, um, a distinct lack of QUALITY projects revolving around supercomputers, y'know?

Well, this service node thing was an idea that was thoroughly discussed around 1,5 years ago. The community didn‘t like it and so we all came up with a design that does not require any such nodes at all. I suggest checking out the paper, the current design should be described there in detail!

How much XEL is required for a Node? And is there a discord? The slack invite seems to be expired

Elastic has no masternode system (unless they#ve built on in the last few months and I completely missed it). Or do you mean the regular nodes? There are obviously nodes, but afaik, there's not collateral needed. It's basic block production layer is NXT-style PoS. On top of it is the computation layer, which works a bit like PoW. Since XELs supply is fixed, the only rewards are transaction fees. How much XEL is needed to be decently successful in producing blocks depends on the overall staking weight, I'm not familiar with the current situation.

Regarding Discord and stuff, not sure if there is one, but I don't use it anyway. You are free to create one, though.

I mean this post from notsofast, Servicenodes found it now. But I cant find more information about this.

If there is no such thing like servicenodes I would like to know from where he does have this information?

Anyone who wants to get in the slack, feel free to email and I will mail you an invite. You are also welcome to join the new discord seksistarlord made: https://discord.gg/MyjrZc

Cool I was wondering if there is a discord because I do not use slack, I will join! Smiley

Bittrex is good. If there is lack of volume it is not because of lack of exchanges.
OK, polo might help temporarily with a small pump but after a while, it will be the same thing again.
And yobit? For the love of god stay away from that place.

There is no such thing as „service nodes“. Check out the paper, it should be all there!!  Smiley

Just came back to check how you guys doing.
Xel is dying out EK, however props on the working product.
You need exposure unfortunately even if for personal reasons i had to sell my elastics, i cannot leave this coin. I just cant help, keep getting involved.
Paid adverts is bad, if its false. Paid PR and exposure is worst, if you dont have a working product.

$xel doesnt have a whitepaper, not even a "plan" of work. It has a bloody freaking working product.

Like it or not EK, the community is part of the project, all interrested parties, involved or remotely interrested is called stakeholders,
Based on TA, xel is looking for reasons to push above 8000sats. Its completely bottomed out.
If you have some kind of projects you are working on for elastic, its time to go for a public reachout and advertising

You have proven yourself to be the only one who is able to handle a team without much funding to create a decentralized supercomputer which is bugfree...

Even if im still out (of the entire crypto) due to financial reasons, i would still love that my favorite project tops its previous ATH and get massive exposure.

Cheers,
Love me or hate me, just examined what i said, its all thats important

Totally agree with the above. The project needs new people and one of the ways to get people interested is to support communication.
This is why I liked the fact a person few posts above created a new XEL Discord channel.

The Slack channel invite on the first page of this forum thread has been broken for months. EK/Guys, please either fix the invite to Slack or lets move to the new Discord channel!

...but wasn't there something thrown around about maybe having special nodes which provide data, or is my memory tricking me? Depending on the challenge, there might be the need for stored information, or not?

Thanks for clarification EK. Was just wondering since I actually never heard about that and thought it might be something on the to do list to be integrated at a later stage.

Can you still claim the XEL from the initial sale a few years back?

Oh, wow, I totally missed that part... But I was gone for quite some time. I guess I can't help you much then.

Someone able to specify this a little more ? never read about this before. Was it shared in slack?

Will join Discord. Thanks for the creation
