Why do these people need to know who the devs are.... just look at EK, handsome, talented, and strong.  Just relax people.  Grin

Hi everyone,

I don't post that much on bitcointalk but I'd like to use this opportunity to actually post something useful. You see, I was an 'investor' (read: I funded the project with some btc from the start). Long term supporter here and I really like the approach that EK is taking with this project. I have full confidence that this is going to be something unique and we should give the devs all the time they need to accomplish this.

Now, why I actually want to post here is because everyone (as in: all the newbies, forums are flooded with them these days hence I'm not on here much) is asking for flashy roadmaps, updates etc. You see, I am actually able to make these things. I am a (n oldschool) crypto designer who have designed lots of projects in the past, including the Mintpal exchange logo, the Bittrex exchange logo (and graphics), the Bitcoin official SEGWIT logo and many more. I am currently only doing projects per request, and not for everyone anymore. I would like to offer my services for FREE in case EK or other devs would need me for this project. I'd like to show my support once again this way.

I believe in a great future for this project and I am very much looking forward to how all of this looks in about a year.

Let me know if you need anything from me.

Albert

Get this man a cape, you are the hero we don't deserve. I would offer my services but they would not aid any crypto at least not legally haha Grin. Good progress as of late with XEL I am confident we are on the way towards new local ATH before smashing that BTC ATH. Patience is key guys patience is key!

I'm in agreement here.  Lots of talent that can be used to further XEL's brand and image as we get ready to launch the mainnet this year or next.

I know a 7/8 months ago there use to be another super computer project I forgot the name and it didn't go anywhere, what makes you think this one will and how does this work? Who pays for use of this is it rented out to people?

Gnosis?
I second your concerns about this too, what is the Elastic team past experience in the field of distributed computing?
iExec team for example is constituted of PhD that wrote schoolbooks about distributed computing and have made working products in this field already?
I want to invest in this but I want to know who I'm putting my money into.

XEL keeps growing. someone knows something.

Just wish the devs would talk with the community

Have you been on Slack? The devs are absolutely fantastic at communicating with people interested in XEL.

They do, and a lot. Just not about money related subjects, they're really open about questions about the software.

The elastic team can be anyone, its not a centralized coin. The team focuses on technical superiority. If you build it (properly), they will come. Give this project time. The team is working on a great product. I care more about the product than the team qualifications - their qualifications are evidenced by their work.

I want to invest in this but I want to know who I'm putting my money into.

All the info that will be provided about the project, its nature, and active parties, has been provided (yes, this is it, no point in asking for more info). if you have concerns better move to one of the other projects that install a sense of security in you or wait till you have enough info to give you that feeling of security.
Nobody wants people to put money where they do not feel safe and nobody will try to convince you or anyone else to buy anything (let me remind you and all the rest here - the devs of this project and people who are spending time and effort get nothing for their effort - you buying something will give them absolutely nothing).

I get annoyed from reading the same questions and demanding requests more and more every day. Most new joining people are even unable to do basic research about a project. Statements like yours always restore my faith in the community. Really cool offer

There are no official "representatives" and there is no company! XEL is PURE open source in its original definition, everyone is equal!

And that's how it is supposed to be. Don't pay attention to those who buy a few coins and get angry if it doesn't x10 in 1 day. Keep up the good work!

Team should show some responsibility towards its Investors

Are you joking??? The team has no investors! In this case here that means: nobody here did receive a single penny from you. So let me ask you straight: why should we "show responsibility" for you???

Man, literally every day a new fake "investor" pops up and tries to force us to work off his mental TODO map. Of course, every one of them has a different understanding of what has to be done next, or as you called it: a different understanding of the dev's "responsibility".

After a month we have probably collected about 30 different tasks from all these different "investors". Their justification is based only on the fake and wrong claim to be an "investor" while in fact for example you have not given anyone here anything! So you have NOT invested in us. The tasks/orders we get, by the way, range from road maps, over useless signal groups, frequent updates on what we do exactly, explaining the time spans where we do not code and report why (are you the STASI?), commenting the code on a daily basis even if just minor updates were made, making photos of ourselves ... all the way up to making some shilling twitter campaigns and other fake PR crap. I mean whyyyyyyy? You seriously don't believe that anyone here will do any of this, do you? I suspect, you want all this to either increase the worth of your portfolio or to better time your purchases and sales. If I am right, let me please ask you this: Why should we spend our time to help you improve your day trading performance? We are no investment consultants. And if we were investment consultants, we would not offer our service for free!

Please be honest to yourself! You don't really care if there is enough time to work on the code, do you? I mean, for you - I guess - it would be perfectly fine to spend 100% time on the fake "investors" demands (the twitter campaigns and flashy roadmap updates) and just drop the coding part entirely. Am I correct?  Wink

Our goals are entirely different, just as you pick your actions based on your goals, please let us pick our actions based on our goals. Do not force us to work towards your goals! This won't work!

May I know:  Are you the Official representative from Elastic ?

I wonder, are there people who invested and bought this token? or at least look to investing..

I bought and not regretted it. I just hope the developer does not lose interest or become exhausted because this is mostly a one man project (with help of course).

Better take some time to read up on previous posts in the appropriate channels before posting moron level questions. Not surprising from a new account, we get too many of those lately.

Wish the trolls could be wiped from this thread on an hourly basis. The amount on moronic FUD intended to piss off the devs is ridiculous, these people have zero respect hiding behind smurf newbie accounts. Always when the price starts to rise there is a few newbies that pop up here or in slack spreading misinformation about XEL.

Props to the devs for putting up with all this shit, major respect.
