so, what' current block? my wallet show blockkk  999, cuda show same error.  Undecided
note that i deleted the testnet folder before sync testnet v2, so i think im on on right chain and wallet synced. then peoblem is not related to sync.

Current block is 1010, your sync seems ok. Some prior posts indicated possible sync issue or conf file (rpcallowip and port).

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/http-request-failed-the-requested-url-returned-error-500-52643

Can you see if cpuminer works?

Edit: I just updated wallets half hour ago (http://cryptomagic.com/files/magi-release/, corrected PoS coinage calculation (testnet) and PoS block checking; for whatever reason some blocks generated were picked as having with zero money supply).

cuda does not work yet, happen to windows build and aws gpu. Same error.

This is mostly due to miner requesting work before block sync done. I've seen issues in my side that the block chain is not catching up the latest. Uploaded new wallets (use these instead of prior version):

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.8593208
http://cryptomagic.com/files/magi-release/

If you get block stuck, delete all files and folders under %appdata%\magi\testnet2 or ~/.magi/testnet2 except wallet.dat, then re-run the wallet.

^ Will code for Bitcoins
Edit: do you have some special instructions for running this on an Amazon instance?

Hmm, I don't have prior experiences on that, so none effective instructions. What I can see is that hashing will be done by the CPU of Amazon instance. So this will be all about cpu mining, and would be less efficient compared to gpu mining in general. Running daemon & miner on Amazon instance won't be any different from running in PC, let's say using debian. The difference will be the type of CPU, which could be much more efficient than one's laptop. Making use of the efficiency of CPU though needs some optimizations on the mining program, on which, unfortunately, I don't idea.

I've considered AWS GPU instances, they are available now with Nvidia CUDA drivers:
http://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/using_cluster_computing.html#gpu-instance-current-limitations
https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/pp/B00FYCDDTE

I'm willing to give one instance a spin if you point to tested CUDA miner for Magi.

qt is working fine and synching

both magi-cpuminer and magi-minerd work too
the magi-minerd is faster on my system though

i cant test cudaminer as i dont have nvidia gpu

Thanks for testing. Is magi-cpuminer working fine? Both cpu miners found blocks? I ran once getting error miner killed looks like due to memory exhausting.

Also I'd like to see the network sync issue; something like any block stucks in the next time of sync. I am also recording the PoS-II mining; these numbers needed if you can help: balance in the wallet, PoS mining rewards, how long staked.

BTW, anyone likes the new look of qt? This is non special anyway (copy work based on cloakcoin's qt interface).

It looks nice.

BTW, 3 blocks mined in an hour on one i3 core.

I re-deleted everything and created test conf......working now ....will test Nvidia mining options and advise

Will require Windows compiled version of the cudaminer that you have posted to test, please advise or can someone here put one together please, thanks

will do that ASAP, never did the window compiling though.

Anyone is able to compile a windows cudaminer, we offer a bounty for that; please contact me for details.

Awesome, also running the daemon on more vps nodes to debug the block stuck issue as seen in 1st testnet. We will be good to go for form launch once we confirm that.

[08-30] 2nd Testnet

Srry for the delay. Here are the 2nd testnet wallets:
http://cryptomagic.com/files/magi-release/
Just used new QT executable instead of the old one, no other files changed. Get his whe run:

Code:
itod@ubuntu:~/.magi$ ./ubuntu_14_magi-qt_v1.0.0.1
ubuntu_14_magi-qt_v1.0.0.1: src/kernel.cpp:487: unsigned int GetStakeModifierChecksum(const CBlockIndex*): Assertion `pindex->pprev || pindex->GetBlockHash() == (!fTestNet ? hashGenesisBlock : hashGenesisBlockTestNet)' failed.
Aborted (core dumped)

This is due to unsuccessful assertion of genesis block; looks like you have the prior block data there; if so, delete the folder ~/.magi/testnet2 folder.

That was it!

Working now, started mining.
