Are you connecting to that single node that Joe posted? Maybe its overloaded with connections.

1. you can't  Grin
2. add rpcallowip=ID address to the magi.cong of the PC connecting to your wallet (same network)
3. don't think so
4. this should show up in your miner's window

1. What about Magi block explorer: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/xmg/
Mined block transaction ID shows it has 306 confirmations?

2. Thanks!

4. Yeah... but miner window shows only last couple of hours hashing history... any other options?

Hello Magi community!

1. How can I verify, that I'm not in wrong chain (fork)?

Welcome to the magi community catfish78,

To check to see if you are on the correct chain you can check the blockheight on this site
https://poolinfo.systms.org/#magi

Then check the blockheight in your wallet in the console by typing
Code:
getblockcount
they should be the same our at worst less than 10 out if your wallet is fully synchronised

Good luck with the mining

Hello Magi community!

I found this interesting coin yesterday! Joined pool (MinerClaim) and that was a big mistake... very frustrating...

Then I tried all night to go for solo mining and when I woke up in the morning, there was a surprise waiting:  my first blocks  Smiley

I have lots of noob questins now   Embarrassed

1. How can I verify, that I'm not in wrong chain (fork)?

2. I have 2 PC-s and only 1 running Magi wallet: do I need to add something to standard magi.conf file to mine with that other PC with no wallet installed?

3. Is it possible to see my hashing speed in wallet? getmininginfo don't show anything... (I'm using wolf-m7m-cpuminer)

4. If I find a block, is it possible to see whitch PC mined it?

Thanks!!!

Hey akuci, what's the IP you're mining from? There's a 4,815 kh/s "anonymous" miner on minerclaim that seems like that kind of hash rate would belong to an idiot like yourself. I would bet all my earnings on the fact that if your employer found out what you're doing with their electricity, you'd be fired, then forced to pay for the extra electricity you burned. At least, in a perfect world.
1) Im not mining now, waiti till fork issue will be fixed
2) I have no employer, I work for self
3) Ip for mining may be differnt up to 10K different IP`s.
4) Where did u see perfect word?

are pools paying out? coins are not reaching my wallet since yesterday.

even though the pools report shows credit but nothing reached my wallet!

Yes they are. I just got my XMGs in my wallet.
But, just as I am typing this, I can't see my few other XMGs, XMG.MinerClaim says Unconfirmed 0 : Confirmed : 0!!! Damn!

YES they did it again, minerclaim reset confirmed coins to cero, they not even pay my balance of the last reset and now this  Huh Huh Huh

Yep, this coin is a total mess. we keep loosing coins & fighting with the pools, wasting power and time, forking every week, rewards value changing, the confirmation, downloading and installing files, people complaining about hash rates... Was a supporter of this coin but now guess it is over. Read through the forums, it is mostly about blame.

I would like an answer from the Magi team, because on their site I found THIS, and I read it before I started mining almost 3 months ago. It was the breaking point to even start mining with my CPUs.
Quote
Magi is at the first concentrating on the low cost in maintaining its block system, for example, through cost effective mining devices. To this end, Magi, aiming at fairness, cost effective and energy efficiency, strives to make mining be available to everyone, and provides an even playing field for people looking to issue digital coins without expensive equipment.
So, is it still valid? If yes, why do you don't deal with people like this person above? If no, then it was a nice ride with you guys and girls, but I'm out, because that's everything but not fairness, cost effective and energy efficiency.

IMO, it is as one can look at the total network hashrate here versus elsewhere. We're there that not much hash power is put to run the coin, and one can mine MAGI using devices such as CPU. However, I won't put a 100% random affirmative as the situation you asked, which has been talked, and that's why there comes one of the to-do-list: A scheduled hard fork targeting at improving PoW.

Realistically, though, there always comes the situation where people access to huge resources over the remaining parties. And this is almost the consequence when mining opens to the world. It's not about hard rule to rule out these people, but more or less requires some other solutions. Speaking of fairness, it is very much relative and depends, as we can judge that coins divided among different hands equally as being fair; however, it isn't unfair when one investing twice of efforts gets twice of rewards, despite how he acquires investments free or non-free. How can we judge the situation that one puts tens, thousands of efforts? malafaya's example depicts a scene, that 10 XMG sharing among 2Mh/s, versus 1 XMG dominated by 20Mh/s. Overall speaking of the history of mining in years, I do see a tendency that coins go into more hands than few hands, which is towards fairness by a crypto language.
Well said Joe. Hope people will take time to read your posts. So thats my request to our community; pls read the posts made by our dev. If its hard to find them for you between lots of other posts click on Joe's profile and you will find the option: lasts posts made by this profile.
Thanks all.

Is this coin still cpu minable? Can you please point me to some mining tuts material
http://m-core.org/resources/mining.html

Joe, i mining solo.. justo 9 XMG today.. is normal?

The network hash rate seems getting high which will reduce block rewards; mining rewards can be checked using following command (using the current block value):
Code:
getminingbykhps 10

Thanks for the tip Joe.

Smiley problems again!

I understand that everything is going well.
But there are questions.

1. I have 1 computer is already a day in solo. He did not receive not one coin.

2. xmg.minerclaim.net I connected 5 computers! I got 6-7 coins yesterday. Outputed +1.79162453 XMG and +1.1522187 XMG.
I waited for the rest to replenish the rest, but alas, all the other coins were lost in the pool.
It stopped here. http://prntscr.com/gd6zah and up to http://prntscr.com/gd6zkk such 8 pages. on the pool I have -> http://prntscr.com/gd6zw4

Where are the other coins !!! - http://prntscr.com/gd73rd

Hello Smiley

I have been mining a little on suprnova @ 800ish KH/s and i spend some time reading this post when the coin forked and naturally i have learned that i believe i was breaking the concept of magi by mining at that rate.

Can someone clearly confirm that we should only be mining at 300 KH/s per person or per mining rig? I just have some i7 machines that lay around doing nothing so i sent them off mining XMG.

Also can anyone give me a hint as how to enable proof of stake? i see it on the magi site and have done some searching and i can see some transacting history screenshots but nothing as simple as say

proofofstate="true" in magi.conf

I figure it will be something along those lines.

I have read through quite a bit of this thread and this seems to be a really good community so i registered and would like to do my part to maintain the fair hash rate and support the network with staking

I got a payout from minerclaim earlier too.  I requested it as soon as I realized it was headed south.  They were on the correct chain for half the day, so those earnings will probably pay out.  Earnings in the last 12 hours though, probably not.
