I am not sure if this clears it up, but I used a legacy wallet to generate that whitecoin address.

Is there a chance that I can recover that?

There is a manual swap going on, and the coins on bittrex are on a different chain. So they have already been swapped, and are not compatible with the legacy wallet.
However, there is a solution to get them back.

The old wallet (Called Legacy wallet) uses the same privatekeys as the new wallet (V2)
So what you can do is the following steps:

Step 1. Legacy wallet

  • Launch your whitecoin legacy client
  • Click on 'help' in the menu bar
  • Click on 'debug window'
  • Select the 'console' tab
  • If your wallet is protected by a passphrase (i.e you have to enter a passphrase before you can send) unlock it by typing: walletpassphrase "your walletpassphrase here" 600
  • Then type: dumpprivkey [your Whitecoin address here] (Without the brackets)

Step 2. V2.0.0.0 wallet
https://github.com/Whitecoin-org/Whitecoin/releases/tag/v2.0.0.0

  • Launch your whitecoin v2 client
  • Click on 'help' in the menu bar
  • Click on 'debug window'
  • Select the 'console' tab
  • If your wallet is protected by a passphrase (i.e you have to enter a passphrase before you can send) unlock it by typing: walletpassphrase "your walletpassphrase here" 600
  • Then type: importprivkey yourPrivateKeyInWalletImportFormat "TheLabelThatIWant"
  • Restart the wallet and the coins should show up

After the coins show up you are good to go and you don't need to swap them manually, if you need more help please join us on slack.
Let me know if this helps.

Damn it,

I just sent 1.2 Million Whitecoin from Bittrex, and was wondering why they didn't show up in my wallet.

I almost sent a small amount as a test first, but my though process was, I've never had any trouble with whitecoin giving me a problem....

Ok, guys, I think this is really unfair and not acceptable
that you let people loose coins because they did not take time to check
this threat before moving their coins.

.....

Could I get some guidance ?
thanks in advance

I have the same issue about transation failure...
tried to lower the amount at 500 coins and even 100 coins and still gives the same issue...
What to do?
please help

Hello Altcoinlover,

This is definately a problem, and we are aware that this can happen, is there any way for you to contact me through slack?
Regarding the transaction failure, It's not limited by the amount of coins but by the amount of input addresses,
so it seems with 100 coins you still have more then 1000 input adresses, so you still need to lower them more.

Hi, sure I can try to contact you on slack even if I am really not familiar with it....

I searched for a slack stuff in the head post, and did not find anything.

How can I reach you on Slack?
Sorry if this is a strange question.. ;-)

Regarding your recommandations to lover the amount of coins sent each time.... this will take for even....
I am not a whale by far but I have quite a few coins ;-)

and more, ALL my coins in my wallet, came from only one single address, from my BIttrex address..

Now, I am realizing that I got tons and tons of tiny stacking rewards.... so, it could be the reason.

BUT, NOW, I tried with 50 and 10 coins, and still does not work!!!!

I could not even make it by batches of 10 coins, so if anyway it would be lower
it would not be feasable....

Sorry, I will need to get other alternative because I will not be able to swipe according to the procedure.

thanks for guidance

Hello,

First to thanks everyone that keep this coin alive and still have faith in it. Keep up good work guys, this community is alive, don`t you worried about that   Wink
Been a vile since I post here but from time to time got my eye on whats going on here.

So, cut to the chase, Oizo I need your help regarding coin swap...

Since I haven`t stake for a vile, when I start whitecoin legacy wallet(1.1.2.3) after reading posts here and all coin swap fuzz, it started to stake until February 26th around 11PM.
As all amount of coins are now in my wallet balance I tried to follow steps from your WCS guide.

Created a new swap address, followed by all steps afterwards but when I tried to send all amount of coins to that new(swap) address and after confirming amount of coins to be send, new pop up window occurs saying: "Error: Failed creating transactions". What could be the problem?

Note: My wallet is not staking right now as it says that I don`t have mature coins anymore. Ask if you need more info...

Thank you all again for your hard work

Cheers
B.

This is a flaw in every (alt)coin, the transaction consists of too many small value addresses. Try lowering the amount of coins send at once. and send it multiple times to the new address.
I can assist you in slack if you want, that's not a problem at all.

Yes, u can use coin control to select inputs. Only 1000 inputs can be used while sending a transaction.

Ok, guys, I think this is really unfair and not acceptable
that you let people loose coins because they did not take time to check

I mean, I am sorry, but for other coins, when there is a risk or some important
info when withdrawing coins from Bittrex, we get a warning info
and that way we are aware of what is the risk, what we have to check.

You worked with Bittrex, XWC holder did not get info inside Bittrex,
no warning about the swap in progress....
You knew about the danger, and did not ask to place a not in the withdraw window
to tell people to check for updating your wallet before proceeding.

How could I know that there is something which wll create the loss of my coin
if I withdraw them from Bittrex, if there is no warning?Huh

Please, make something for small holder who are supporting the coin on the exchange
and for whom, loosing 2000 coins is already something significant.

Sorry, I am not a big whale, just a tiny fish trying to accumulate and trade coins
which I like and making a little money guessing it will go up one day.

Please, reply and find a way to help in that situation

thanks for your understanding

OK, it seems that I made a mistake which is not cool about this stuff of swape...

Is that true that if I transfered my coins from Bittrex to my "old" wallet
there is nothing which can be done?Huh?

This is insane....

Now, other part of the question is what do we have to do with our current coins
in our desktop wallet AND in the exchange?Huh

Sorry, I am really not techy, and just the name swap is making me swet.

Could I get some guidance ?

thanks in advance
