Will Zirk be on Bittrex soon? Have you talked with them so far ?!

We have talked to them and just had a reply as follows;

Quote
Thanks for the request. Our policy is to not comment on whether we will launch coins but we mainly add coins due to community demand.

We gauge demand based off of tweets, hash power, length of bitcointalk thread, volume on other exchanges, etc. Follow us on twitter @bittrexexchange and tweet about how much you like this coin and Bittrex. We respond to creative and insightful posts to help market your favorite coins and Bittrex. I'd also consider coming to our irc channel #bittrex on irc.freenode.net and do some guerrilla marketing. The traders there can help you gain exposure for your coin.

Thanks,
Ryan @ Bittrex
Follow us on Twitter: https[Suspicious link removed]xchange

So let them know if you want to see ZirkCoin on Bittrex, we are working in the background to get some alternative exchanges onboard also.

A few POW / POS Hybrid coins have had the problem of when adding checkpoints, a random amount of client will crash.

Reddcoin was one of them which got fixed quickly with a hotfix patch and the same will happen to the Zirkcoin clients.

It takes time to get a client working perfectly when there are so many different OS's, now client versions (There will always be pools, users and exchanges that sometimes don't upgrade right away wit all coins) but out of all the coins releases I have seen and supported this is one of the better ones.

My advice would be to just keep the client running and staking 24/7 if you can, it helps the overall network and of course reduces any risk of a crash.

We are trying our best to work out all issues for all OS's, it is our top priority at the moment *nix platforms have no issues reported, and only some windows are reporting the issue with the above fix working for most at this stage.

We will continue working on it and let you know as soon as we have an update.

We are still working on a fix, but in the mean time if you follow these steps you should be able to sync:
  • 1. Delete all the files in %appdata%\ZirkCoin apart from your wallet.dat
  • 2. Restart Computer
  • 3. Download bootstrap.dat
  • 4. Put bootstrap.dat in %appdata%\ZirkCoin

Then try and open, and it should automatically sync to block 5380~

I followed steps as described, but it doesn't work for me.

Worked with me doing EXACTLY steps one by one. Tried without restarting the PC without success.

Worked for me too, thank you !!

I have the same problem with runtime but this isnt problem with synch ... because, i see error but not cilck "ok" and wallet can synchronize in background, and coins are stakeing but i cant use wallet features, only see Runtime error... next, i used version 1.0.0 and all was good, i started 1.1.0 and the same all was good but in night when my coins are staking i got this error, probably this is something with wallet connection ... to blackchain ? to news ? clock ? I have 2 PC's, 1 running the wallet on a
WIN 8.1/64, the other running the wallet
on WIN 8.1/64 in a box on Fedora.
Both mine are working correctly.

I was in same situation as well. Thing is that now the wallet is not working and it seems that I'm not the only one. Wink

tried that the same thing still happened

Did it import the blockchain from bootstrap.dat? It has fixed 2 other peoples issues that were having issues.
Could you also try those processes again but move your wallet.dat to another folder until it has synced and then move it back?

Sorry for all the steps, we are trying to narrow down the issue.

Ok I did what you listed the first time but it worked this time when i removed the wallet.dat this time and it is up and running and syncd up

No fixes for me.

I try and install the wallet on different computers and it loads to a certain point and crashes. Reload and I get the Runtime error.

The wallet should be a top priority to fix.

Did you try this method?

Yes.

I even tried to create the zirk folder in the app data and install the bootstrap before opening the wallet on a third computer so it was a fresh run.

The wallet gets to a certain point on all three computers and crashes/closes before it even syncs.

EDIT: I didn't have much coins but they where being sent automatically to my wallet and now I hope they are not lost.
