I dont think "virus" is a real issue, many being detected with "bitcoin miner" which is perfectly normal as there is a miner in the client. I just don't understand why price is going down to hell. I used to mine this coin but now there's no point of mining it.

Yes maybe dev need to give a roadmap in order to give some confidence on this coin...

Used to like this coin, but the virus reports is something we should be bother about,we have read a lot of reports like this in the past,I just don't remember one coin who has done this,I hope dev will modify the code to make it user friendly,I still want to see this coin to succeed

haha yeah, the dev is nowhere to be found and thinks that the community will solve everything. This coin still can be saved but it needs some progress and development.

The dev commented in this thread 24 hours ago. His user name is zoin, and he made the OP. He's been making updates to the code, and testing building it on windows and linux. That's quite an active dev who isn't expecting the community to do everything.

The price has dropped through the floor, and they talk about viruses.
Soon nothing to talk about anyone will.

No viruses in this wallet. Online antivirus testing is quite untrue. Check out the disassembler and realize that there is no one there. Let's help the developer in raising currency. So if a developer to communicate?

My compile from source code and tested with virustotal showed only 2 issues, both of them are Bitcoin miners, which are understanable as it has a miner in QT client. I don't understand where come the 12 issues shown in the virustotal report from dev's build.

There are so many things that affect the binaries produced (compiler flags, version of linked libraries, etc). It all depends which part of the code the virus apps tries to identify.

Please feel free to share your binaries.

Sure, here is my compile:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4p3l1ebwJ39cjVWd3VEeXB4ZFU/view?usp=sharing

and here is the report:

I am curious which compile flags etc can produce virus alerts and will know to avoid these in future compile.

maybe it will be more after some time, which is weird  Grin

so you have viruses there?

No, I don't believe so. Most of the reports are for miners/unwanted programs/generic/heuristics/riskware.

ok, sorry, I'm new in here ;-)

I created a new build environment under Linux (Mingw, QT 5.7, SSL 1.01h, -Os flag). The previous version was built under Windows (Mingw, QT 5.3, SSL 1.01h, older boost, -O2 flag).

Here's the new build (same source code):

https://github.com/zoin/zoin/releases/download/v0.8.7.4/zoin-0.8.7.4b-win.zip

Scan result:

4 detections (two for PUP and two for miners)
