Hey I'm trying to set up wallet on mac OSX and I cant get any active connections to the network. Is the .conf file the same for mac as windows?
yes - Problem for mac is often to allow to get through the firewall or having the conf.file at the right place
for Mac OS X put the config file in ~/Library/Appication Support/Sync or Synccoin
if this not working - try another trick:
often we download the qt and dragged it to the applications folder because ist the normal way - and in mysterious ways NOTHING goes as it should be
try this:
redownloaded the application, just Unpack it but still in your downloads folder, ran it from there (!!!!!!) which will prompted "do you allow an downloaded application to run?" press yes.
after a little time the wallet should fully synced.
Close down the application then drag it into applications folder - solved and syncing normally fine beacuse the downloadfolder has the permission to get through the Firewall
